लूका 3
1 तिबिरियुस कैसर के राज्य के पंद्रहवें वर्ष में जब पुन्तियुस पीलातुस यहूदिया का हाकिम था, और गलील में हेरोदेस नाम चौथाई का इतूरैया, और त्रखोनीतिस में, उसका भाई फिलेप्पुस, और अबिलेने में लिसानियास चौथाई के राजा थे।
2 और जब हन्ना और कैफा महायाजक थे, उस समय परमेश्वर का वचन जंगल में जकरयाह के पुत्र यूहन्ना के पास पहुंचा।
3 और वह यरदन के आस पास के सारे देश में आकर, पापों की क्षमा के लिये मन फिराव के बपतिस्मा का प्रचार करने लगा।
4 जैसे यशायाह भविष्यद्वक्ता के कहे हुए वचनों की पुस्तक में लिखा है, कि जंगल में एक पुकारने वाले का शब्द हो रहा हे कि प्रभु का मार्ग तैयार करो, उस की सड़कें सीधी बनाओ।
5 हर एक घाटी भर दी जाएगी, और हर एक पहाड़ और टीला नीचा किया जाएगा; और जो टेढ़ा है सीधा, और जो ऊंचा नीचा है वह चौरस मार्ग बनेगा।
6 और हर प्राणी परमेश्वर के उद्धार को देखेगा॥
7 जो भीड़ की भीड़ उस से बपतिस्मा लेने को निकल कर आती थी, उन से वह कहता था; हे सांप के बच्चों, तुम्हें किस ने जता दिया, कि आने वाले क्रोध से भागो।
8 सो मन फिराव के योग्य फल लाओ: और अपने अपने मन में यह न सोचो, कि हमारा पिता इब्राहीम है; क्योंकि मैं तुम से कहता हूं, कि परमेश्वर इन पत्थरों से इब्राहीम के लिये सन्तान उत्पन्न कर सकता है।
9 और अब ही कुल्हाड़ा पेड़ों की जड़ पर धरा है, इसलिये जो जो पेड़ अच्छा फल नहीं लाता, वह काटा और आग में झोंका जाता है।
10 और लोगों ने उस से पूछा, तो हम क्या करें?
11 उस ने उन्हें उतर दिया, कि जिस के पास दो कुरते हों वह उसके साथ जिस के पास नहीं हैं बांट दे और जिस के पास भोजन हो, वह भी ऐसा ही करे।
12 और महसूल लेने वाले भी बपतिस्मा लेने आए, और उस से पूछा, कि हे गुरू, हम क्या करें?
13 उस ने उन से कहा, जो तुम्हारे लिये ठहराया गया है, उस से अधिक न लेना।
14 और सिपाहियों ने भी उस से यह पूछा, हम क्या करें? उस ने उन से कहा, किसी पर उपद्रव न करना, और न झूठा दोष लगाना, और अपनी मजदूरी पर सन्तोष करना॥
15 जब लोग आस लगाए हुए थे, और सब अपने अपने मन में यूहन्ना के विषय में विचार कर रहे थे, कि क्या यही मसीह तो नहीं है।
16 तो यूहन्ना ने उन सब से उत्तर में कहा: कि मैं तो तुम्हें पानी से बपतिस्मा देता हूं, परन्तु वह आनेवाला है, जो मुझ से शक्तिमान है; मैं तो इस योग्य भी नहीं, कि उसके जूतों का बन्ध खोल सकूं, वह तुम्हें पवित्र आत्मा और आग से बपतिस्मा देगा।
17 उसका सूप, उसके हाथ में है; और वह अपना खलिहान अच्छी तरह से साफ करेगा; और गेहूं को अपने खत्ते में इकट्ठा करेगा, परन्तु भूसी को उस आग में जो बुझने की नहीं जला देगा॥
18 सो वह बहुत सी शिक्षा दे देकर लोगों को सुसमाचार सुनाता रहा।
19 परन्तु उस ने चौथाई देश के राजा हेरोदेस को उसके भाई फिलेप्पुस की पत्नी हेरोदियास के विषय, और सब कुकर्मों के विषय में जो उस ने किए थे, उलाहना दिया।
20 इसलिये हेरोदेस ने उन सब से बढ़कर यह कुकर्म भी किया, कि यूहन्ना को बन्दीगृह में डाल दिया॥
21 जब सब लोगों ने बपतिस्मा लिया, और यीशु भी बपतिस्मा लेकर प्रार्थना कर रहा था, तो आकाश खुल गया।
22 और पवित्र आत्मा शारीरिक रूप में कबूतर की नाईं उस पर उतरा, और यह आकाशवाणी हुई, कि तू मेरा प्रिय पुत्र है, मैं तुझ से प्रसन्न हूं॥
23 जब यीशु आप उपदेश करने लगा, जो लगभग तीस वर्ष की आयु का था और (जैसा समझा जाता था) यूसुफ का पुत्र था; और वह एली का।
24 और वह मत्तात का, और वह लेवी का, और वह मलकी का, और वह यन्ना का, और वह यूसुफ का।
25 और वह मत्तित्याह का, और वह आमोस का, और वह नहूम का, और वह असल्याह का, और वह नोगह का।
26 और वह मात का, और वह मत्तित्याह का, और वह शिमी का, और वह योसेख का, और वह योदाह का।

1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip’s wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
20 Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
24 Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph,
25 Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge,
26 Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Juda,

And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
2 और वे उस पर दोष लगाने के लिये उस की घात में लगे हुए थे, कि देखें, वह सब्त के दिन में उसे चंगा करता है कि नहीं।
And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
3 उस ने सूखे हाथ वाले मनुष्य से कहा; बीच में खड़ा हो।
And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
4 और उन से कहा; क्या सब्त के दिन भला करना उचित है या बुरा करना, प्राण को बचाना या मारना? पर वे चुप रहे।
And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
5 और उस ने उन के मन की कठोरता से उदास होकर, उन को क्रोध से चारों ओर देखा, और उस मनुष्य से कहा, अपना हाथ बढ़ा उस ने बढ़ाया, और उसका हाथ अच्छा हो गया।
And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
6 तब फरीसी बाहर जाकर तुरन्त हेरोदियों के साथ उसके विरोध में सम्मति करने लगे, कि उसे किस प्रकार नाश करें॥
And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
7 और यीशु अपने चेलों के साथ झील की ओर चला गया: और गलील से एक बड़ी भीड़ उसके पीछे हो ली।
But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
8 और यहूदिया, और यरूशलेम और इदूमिया से, और यरदन के पार, और सूर और सैदा के आसपास से एक बड़ी भीड़ यह सुनकर, कि वह कैसे अचम्भे के काम करता है, उसके पास आई।
And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
9 और उस ने अपने चेलों से कहा, भीड़ के कारण एक छोटी नाव मेरे लिये तैयार रहे ताकि वे मुझे दबा न सकें।
And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
10 क्योंकि उस ने बहुतों को चंगा किया था; इसलिये जितने लोग रोग से ग्रसित थे, उसे छूने के लिये उस पर गिरे पड़ते थे।
For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
11 और अशुद्ध आत्माएं भी, जब उसे देखती थीं, तो उसके आगे गिर पड़ती थीं, और चिल्लाकर कहती थीं कि तू परमेश्वर का पुत्र है।
And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
12 और उस ने उन्हें बहुत चिताया, कि मुझे प्रगट न करना॥
And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.
13 फिर वह पहाड़ पर चढ़ गया, और जिन्हें वह चाहता था उन्हें अपने पास बुलाया; और वे उसके पास चले आए।
And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
14 तब उस ने बारह पुरूषों को नियुक्त किया, कि वे उसके साथ साथ रहें, और वह उन्हें भेजे, कि प्रचार करें।
And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
15 और दुष्टात्माओं के निकालने का अधिकार रखें।
And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:
16 और वे ये हैं: शमौन जिस का नाम उस ने पतरस रखा।
And Simon he surnamed Peter;
17 और जब्दी का पुत्र याकूब, और याकूब का भाई यूहन्ना, जिनका नाम उस ने बूअनरिगस, अर्थात गर्जन के पुत्र रखा।
And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
18 और अन्द्रियास, और फिलेप्पुस, और बरतुल्मै, और मत्ती, और थोमा, और हलफई का पुत्र याकूब; और तद्दी, और शमौन कनानी।
And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,

And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.

And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
21 जब उसके कुटुम्बियों ने यह सुना, तो उसे पकड़ने के लिये निकले; क्योंकि कहते थे, कि उसका चित्त ठिकाने नहीं है।
And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.
22 और शास्त्री जो यरूशलेम से आए थे, यह कहते थे, कि उस में शैतान है, और यह भी, कि वह दुष्टात्माओं के सरदार की सहायता से दुष्टात्माओं को निकालता है।
And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
23 और वह उन्हें पास बुलाकर, उन से दृष्टान्तों में कहने लगा; शैतान क्योंकर शैतान को निकाल सकता है?
And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 और यदि किसी राज्य में फूट पड़े, तो वह राज्य क्योंकर स्थिर रह सकता है?
And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 और यदि किसी घर में फूट पड़े, तो वह घर क्योंकर स्थिर रह सकेगा?
And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 और यदि शैतान अपना ही विरोधी होकर अपने में फूट डाले, तो वह क्योंकर बना रह सकता है? उसका तो अन्त ही हो जाता है।
And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
27 किन्तु कोई मनुष्य किसी बलवन्त के घर में घुसकर उसका माल लूट नहीं सकता, जब तक कि वह पहिले उस बलवन्त को न बान्ध ले; और तब उसके घर को लूट लेगा।
No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
28 मैं तुम से सच कहता हूं, कि मनुष्यों की सन्तान के सब पाप और निन्दा जो वे करते हैं, क्षमा की जाएगी।
Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29 परन्तु जो कोई पवित्रात्मा के विरूद्ध निन्दा करे, वह कभी भी क्षमा न किया जाएगा: वरन वह अनन्त पाप का अपराधी ठहरता है।
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
30 क्योंकि वे यह कहते थे, कि उस में अशुद्ध आत्मा है॥
Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
31 और उस की माता और उसके भाई आए, और बाहर खड़े होकर उसे बुलवा भेजा।
There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
32 और भीड़ उसके आसपास बैठी थी, और उन्होंने उस से कहा; देख, तेरी माता और तेरे भाई बाहर तुझे ढूंढते हैं।
And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
33 उस ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, कि मेरी माता और मेरे भाई कौन हैं?
And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
34 और उन पर जो उसके आस पास बैठे थे, दृष्टि करके कहा, देखो, मेरी माता और मेरे भाई यह हैं।
And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
35 क्योंकि जो कोई परमेश्वर की इच्छा पर चले, वही मेरा भाई, और बहिन और माता है॥
For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
