और यहोवा ने उसको भी राजा समेत इस्राएलियों के हाथ मे कर दिया; और यहोशू ने उसको और उस में के सब प्राणियों को तलवार से मारा; और उस में से किसी को भी जीवित न छोड़ा; और उसके राजा से वैसा ही किया जैसा उसने यरीहो के राजा के साथ किया था॥

| of the sword, | וַיַּכֶּ֣הָ | wayyakkehā | va-ya-KEH-ha |
| all and | לְפִי | lĕpî | leh-FEE |
| the souls | חֶ֗רֶב | ḥereb | HEH-rev |
| that | וְאֶת | wĕʾet | veh-ET |
| let he therein; were | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| none | הַנֶּ֙פֶשׁ֙ | hannepeš | ha-NEH-FESH |
| remain | אֲשֶׁר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| did but it; in | בָּ֔הּ | bāh | ba |

| thereof as | הִשְׁאִ֥יר | hišʾîr | heesh-EER |
