उस ने तीसरी बार उस से कहा, हे शमौन, यूहन्ना के पुत्र, क्या तू मुझ से प्रीति रखता है? पतरस उदास हुआ, कि उस ने उसे तीसरी बार ऐसा कहा; कि क्या तू मुझ से प्रीति रखता है? और उस से कहा, हे प्रभु, तू तो सब कुछ जानता है: तू यह जानता है कि मैं तुझ से प्रीति रखता हूं: यीशु ने उस से कहा, मेरी भेड़ों को चरा।
