अय्यूब 26

1 तब अय्यूब ने कहा,

2 निर्बल जन की तू ने क्या ही बड़ी सहायता की, और जिसकी बांह में सामर्थ्य नहीं, उसको तू ने कैसे सम्भाला है?

3 निर्बुद्धि मनुष्य को तू ने क्या ही अच्छी सम्मति दी, और अपनी खरी बुद्धि कैसी भली भांति प्रगट की है?

4 तू ने किसके हित के लिये बातें कही? और किसके मन की बातें तेरे मुंह से निकलीं?

5 बहुत दिन के मरे हुए लोग भी जलनिधि और उसके निवासियों के तले तड़पते हैं।

6 अधोलोक उसके साम्हने उघड़ा रहता है, और विनाश का स्थान ढंप नहीं सकता।

7 वह उत्तर दिशा को निराधार फैलाए रहता है, और बिना टेक पृथ्वी को लटकाए रखता है।

8 वह जल को अपनी काली घटाओं में बान्ध रखता, और बादल उसके बोझ से नहीं फटता।

9 वह अपने सिंहासन के साम्हने बादल फैला कर उसको छिपाए रखता है।

10 उजियाले और अन्धियारे के बीच जहां सिवाना बंधा है, वहां तक उसने जलनिधि का सिवाना ठहरा रखा है।

11 उसकी घुड़की से आकाश के खम्भे थरथरा कर चकित होते हैं।

12 वह अपने बल से समुद्र को उछालता, और अपनी बुद्धि से घपण्ड को छेद देता है।

13 उसकी आत्मा से आकाशमण्डल स्वच्छ हो जाता है, वह अपने हाथ से वेग भागने वाले नाग को मार देता है।

14 देखो, ये तो उसकी गति के किनारे ही हैं; और उसकी आहट फुसफुसाहट ही सी तो सुन पड़ती है, फिर उसके पराक्रम के गरजने का भेद कौन समझ सकता है?

1 But Job answered and said,

2 How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?

3 How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

4 To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?

5 Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.

6 Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

9 He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.

10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

12 He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

14 Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

ஏனென்றால், இந்த நாட்களுக்கு முன்னே தெயுதாஸ் என்பவன் எழும்பி, தன்னை ஒரு பெரியவனாகப் பாராட்டினான்; ஏறக்குறைய நானூறுபேர் அவனிடத்தில் சேர்ந்தார்கள்; அவன் மரித்துப்போனான்; அவனை நம்பின அனைவரும் சிதறிப்போனார்கள்.

எப்போது தெயுதாஸ் தோன்றினான் என்பதை நினைவு கூருகிறீர்களா? அவன் தன்னை ஒரு முக்கியமான மனிதன் என்று கூறினான். சுமார் 400 மனிதர்கள் அவனோடு சேர்ந்துகொண்டனர். ஆனால் அவன் கொல்லப்பட்டான். அவனைப் பின்பற்றியவர்கள் சிதறுண்டு ஓடினார்கள். அவர்களால் எதையும் செய்யக் கூடவில்லை.
