1 फिर हिजकिय्याह ने सारे इस्राएल और यहूदा में कहला भेजा, और एप्रैम और मनश्शे के पास इस आशय के पत्र लिख भेजे, कि तुम यरूशलेम को यहोवा के भवन में इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिये फसह मनाने को आओ।
2 राजा और उसके हाकिमों और यरूशलेम की मणडली ने सम्मति की थी कि फसह को दूसरे महीने में मनाएं।
3 वे उसे उस समय इस कारण न मना सकते थे, क्योंकि थोड़े ही याजकों ने अपने अपने को पवित्र किया था, और प्रजा के लोग यरूशलेम में इकट्ठे न हुए थे।
4 और यह बात राजा और सारी मणडली को अच्छी लगी।
5 तब उन्होंने यह ठहरा दिया, कि बेर्शेबा से ले कर दान के सारे इस्राएलियों में यह प्रचार किया जाय, कि यरूशलेम में इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिये फसह मनाने को चले आओ;
6 क्योंकि उन्होंने इतनी बड़ी संख्या में उसको इस प्रकार न मनाया था जैसा कि लिखा है। इसलिये हरकारे राजा और उसके हाकिमों से चिट्ठियां ले कर, राजा की आज्ञा के अनुसार सारे इस्राएल और यहूदा में घूमे, और यह कहते गए, कि हे इस्राएलियो! इब्राहीम, इसहाक और इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा की ओर फिरो, कि वह अश्शूर के राजाओं के हाथ से बचे हुए तुम लोगों की ओर फिरे।
7 और अपने पुरखाओं और भाइयों के समान मत बनो, जिन्होंने अपने पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर यहोवा से विश्वासघात किया था, और उसने उन्हें चकित होने का कारण कर दिया, जैसा कि तुम स्वयं देख रहे हो।
8 अब अपने पुरखाओं की नाईं हठ न करो, वरन यहोवा के आधीन हो कर उसके उस पवित्र स्थान में आओ जिसे उसने सदा के लिये पवित्र किया है, और अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की उपासना करो, कि उसका भड़का हुआ क्रोध तुम पर से दूर हो जाए।
9 यदि तुम यहोवा की ओर फिरोगे तो जो तुम्हारे भाइयों और लड़के-बालों को बन्धुआ बना के ले गए हैं, वे उन पर दया करेंगे, और वे इस देश में लौट सकेंगे क्योंकि तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा अनुग्रहकारी और दयालु है, और यदि तुम उसकी ओर फिरोगे तो वह अपना मुंह तुम से न मोड़ेगा।
10 इस प्रकार हरकारे एप्रैम और मनश्शे के देशें में नगर नगर होते हुए जबूलून तक गए; परन्तु उन्होंने उनकी हंसी की, और उन्हें ठट्ठों में उड़ाया।
11 तौभी आशेर, मनश्शे और जबूलून में से कुछ लोग दीन हो कर यरूशलेम को आए।
12 और यहूदा में भी परमेश्वर की ऐसी शक्ति हुई, कि वे एक मन हो कर, जो आज्ञा राजा और हाकिमों ने यहोवा के वचन के अनुसार दी थी, उसे मानने को तैयार हुए।
13 इस प्रकार अधिक लोग यरूशलेम में इसलिये इकट्ठे हुए, कि दूसरे महीने में अखमीरी रोटी का पर्व्व मानें। और बहुत बड़ी सभा इकट्ठी हो गई।
14 और उन्होंने उठ कर, यरूशलेम की वेदियों और धूप जलाने के सब स्थानों को उठा कर किद्रोन नाले में फेंक दिया।
15 तब दूसरे महीने के चौदहवें दिन को उन्होंने फसह के पशु बलि किए तब याजक और लेवीय लज्जित हुए और अपने को पवित्र कर के होमबलियों को यहोवा के भवन में ले आए।
16 और वे अपने नियम के अनुसार, अर्थात परमेश्वर के जन मूसा की व्यवस्था के अनुसार, अपने अपने स्थान पर खड़े हुए, और याजकों ने रक्त को लेवियों के हाथ से ले कर छिड़क दिया।
17 क्योंकि सभा में बहुते ऐसे थे जिन्होंने अपने को पवित्र न किया था; इसलिये सब अशुद्ध लोगों के फसह के पशुओं को बलि करने का अधिकार लेवियों को दिया गया, कि उन को यहोवा के लिये पवित्र करें।
18 बहुत से लोगों ने अर्थात एप्रैम, मनश्शे, इस्साकार और जबूलून में से बहुतों ने अपने को शुद्ध नहीं किया था, तौभी वे फसह के पशु का मांस लिखी हुई विधि के विरुद्ध खाते थे। क्योंकि हिजकिय्याह ने उनके लिये यह प्रार्थना की थी, कि यहोवा जो भला है, वह उन सभों के पाप ढांप दे;
19 जो परमेश्वर की अर्थात अपने पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर यहोवा की खोज में मन लगाए हुए हैं, चाहे वे पवित्र स्थान की विधि के अनुसार शुद्ध न भी हों।
20 और यहोवा ने हिजकिय्याह की यह प्रार्थना सुन कर लोगों को चंगा किया।
21 और जो इस्राएली यरूशलेम में उपस्थित थे, वे सात दिन तक अखमीरी रोटी का पर्व्व बड़े आनन्द से मनाते रहे; और प्रतिदिन लेवीय और याजक ऊंचे शब्द के बाजे यहोवा के लिये बजा कर यहोवा की स्तुति करते रहे।
22 और जितने लेवीय यहोवा का भजन बुद्धिमानी के साथ करते थे, उन को हिजकिय्याह ने शान्ति के वचन कहे। इस प्रकार वे मेलबलि चढ़ा कर और अपने पुर्वजों के परमेश्वर यहोवा के सम्मुख पापांगीकार करते रहे और उस नियत पर्व्व के सातों दिन तक खाते रहे।
23 तब सारी सभा ने सम्मति की कि हम और सात दिन पर्व्व मानेंगे; सो उन्होंने और सात दिन आनन्द से पर्व्व मनाया।
24 क्योंकि यहूदा के राजा हिजकिय्याह ने सभा को एक हजार बछड़े और सात हजार भेड़-बकरियां दे दीं, और हाकिमों ने सभा को एक हजार बछड़े और दस हजार भेड़-बकरियां दीं, और बहुत से याजकों ने अपने को पवित्र किया।
25 तब याजकों और लेवियों समेत यहूदा की सारी सभा, और इस्राएल से आए हुओं की सभा, और इस्राएल के देश से आए हुए, और यहूदा में रहने वाले परदेशी, इन सभों ने आनन्द किया।
26 सो यरूशलेम में बड़ा आनन्द हुआ, क्योंकि दाऊद के पुत्र इस्राएल के राजा सुलैमान के दिनों से ऐसी बात यरूशलेम में न हुई थी।
27 अन्त में लेवीय याजकों ने खड़े हो कर प्रजा को आशीर्वाद दिया, और उनकी सुनी गई, और उनकी प्रार्थना उसके पपित्र धाम तक अर्थात स्वर्ग तक पहुंची।
1 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Jerusalem, to keep the passover unto the Lord God of Israel.
2 For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month.
3 For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.
4 And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.
5 So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beer-sheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the Lord God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.
6 So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.
7 And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the Lord God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.
8 Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the Lord, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the Lord your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.
9 For if ye turn again unto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
10 So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.
11 Nevertheless divers of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.
12 Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the Lord.
13 And there assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.
14 And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron.
15 Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the Lord.
16 And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.
17 For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the Lord.
18 For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good Lord pardon every one
19 That prepareth his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.
20 And the Lord hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
21 And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the Lord.
22 And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the Lord: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the Lord God of their fathers.
23 And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept other seven days with gladness.
24 For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.
25 And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.
26 So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.
27 Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.

1 जब मनश्शे राज्य करने लगा तब वह बारह वर्ष का था, और यरूशलेम में पचपन वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा।
Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:
2 उसने वह किया, जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा था, अर्थात उन जातियों के घिनौने कामों के अनुसार जिन को यहोवा ने इस्राएलियों के साम्हने से देश से निकाल दिया था।
But did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
3 उसने उन ऊंचे स्थानों को जिन्हें उसके पिता हिजकिय्याह ने तोड़ दिया था, फिर बनाया, और बाल नाम देवताओं के लिये वेदियां ओर अशेरा नाम मूरतें बनाईं, और आकाश के सारे गण को दण्डवत करता, और उनकी उपासना करता रहा।
For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 और उसने यहोवा के उस भवन मे वेदियां बनाईं जिसके विषय यहोवा ने कहा था कि यरूशलेम में मेरा नाम सदा बना रहेगा।
Also he built altars in the house of the Lord, whereof the Lord had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
5 वरन यहोवा के भवन के दोनों आंगनों में भी उसने आकाश के सारे गण के लिये वेदियां बनाईं।
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
6 फिर उसने हिन्नोम के बेटे की तराई में अपने लड़के-बालों को होम कर के चढ़ाया, और शुभ-अशुभ मुहूर्तों को मानता, और टोना और तंत्र-मंत्र करता, और ओझों और भूतसिद्धि वालों से व्यवहार करता था। वरन उसने ऐसे बहुत से काम किए, जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरे हैं और जिन से वह अप्रसन्न होता है।
And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
7 और उसने अपनी खुदवाई हुई मूर्ति परमेश्वर के उस भवन में स्थापन की जिसके विषय परमेश्वर ने दाऊद और उसके पुत्र सुलैमान से कहा था, कि इस भवन में, और यरूशलेम में, जिस को मैं ने इस्राएल के सब गोत्रों में से चुन लिया है मैं अपना नाम सर्वदा रखूंगा,
And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8 और मैं ऐसा न करूंगा कि जो देश मैं ने तुम्हारे पुरखाओं को दिया था, उस में से इस्राएल फिर मारा मारा फिरे; इतना अवश्य हो कि वे मेरी सब आज्ञाओं को अर्थात मूसा की दी हुई सारी व्यवस्था और विधियों और नियमों को पालन करने की चौकसी करें।
Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
9 और मनश्शे ने यहूदा और यरूशलेम के निवासियों यहां तक भटका दिया कि उन्होंने उन जातियों से भी बढ़ कर बुराई की, जिन्हें यहोवा ने इस्राएलियों के साम्हने से विनाश किया था।
So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel.
10 और यहोवा ने मनश्शे और उसकी प्रजा से बातें कीं, परन्तु उन्होंने कुछ ध्यान नहीं दिया।
And the Lord spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.
11 तब यहोवा ने उन पर अश्शूर के सेनापतियों से चढ़ाई कराई, और ये मनश्शे को नकेल डाल कर, और पीतल की बेडिय़ां जकड़ कर, उसे बाबेल को ले गए।
Wherefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
12 तब संकट में पड़ कर वह अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा को मानने लगा, और अपने पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर के साम्हने बहुत दीन हुआ, और उस से प्रार्थना की।
And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,
13 तब उसने प्रसन्न हो कर उसकी विनती सुनी, और उसको यरूशलेम में पहुंचा कर उसका राज्य लौटा दिया। तब मनश्शे को निश्चय हो गया कि यहोवा ही परमेश्वर है।
And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord he was God.
14 इसके बाद उसने दाऊदपुर से बाहर गीहोन के पश्चिम की ओर नाले में मच्छली फाटक तक एक शहरपनाह बनवाई, फिर ओपेल को घेर कर बहुत ऊंचा कर दिया; और यहूदा के सब गढ़ वाले नगरों में सेनापति ठहरा दिए।
Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.
15 फिर उसने पराये देवताओं को और यहोवा के भवन में की मूर्ति को, और जितनी वेदियां उसने यहोवा के भवन के पर्वत पर, और यरूशलेम में बनवाई थीं, उन सब को दूर कर के नगर से बाहर फेंकवा दिया।
And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the Lord, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the Lord, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
16 तब उसने यहोवा की वेदी की मरम्मत की, और उस पर मेलबलि और धन्यवादबलि चढ़ाने लगा, और यहूदियों को इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा की उपासना करने की आज्ञा दी।
And he repaired the altar of the Lord, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the Lord God of Israel.
17 तौभी प्रजा के लोग ऊंचे स्थानों पर बलिदान करते रहे, परन्तु केवल अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिये।
Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet unto the Lord their God only.
18 मनश्शे के ओर काम, और उसने जो प्रार्थना अपने परमेश्वर से की, और उन दशिर्यों के वचन जो इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा के नाम से उस से बातें करते थे, यह सब इस्राएल के राजाओं के इतिहास में लिखा हुआ है।
Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the Lord God of Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel.
19 और उसकी प्रार्थना और वह कैसे सुनी गई, और उसका सारा पाप और विश्वासघात और उसने दीन होने से पहिले कहां कहां ऊंचे स्थान बनवाए, और अशेरा नाम और खुदी हुई मूत्तिर्यां खड़ी कराई, यह सब होशे के वचनों में जिखा है।
His prayer also, and how God was intreated of him, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are written among the sayings of the seers.
20 निदान मनश्शे अपने पुरखाओं के संग सो गया और उसे उसी के घर में मिट्टी दी गई; और उसका पुत्र आमोन उसके स्थान पर राज्य करने लगा।
So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
21 जब आमोन राज्य करने लगा, तब वह बाईस वर्ष का था, और यरूशलेम में दो वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा।
Amon was two and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned two years in Jerusalem.
22 और उसने अपने पिता मनश्शे की नाईं वह किया जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा है। और जितनी मूत्तिर्यां उसके पिता मनश्शे ने खोद कर बनवाई थीं, वह भी उन सभों के साम्हने बलिदान करता और उन सभों की उपासना भी करता था।
But he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them;
23 और जैसे उसका पिता मनश्शे यहोवा के साम्हने दीन हुआ, वैसे वह दीन न हुआ, वरन आमोन अधिक दोषी होता गया।
And humbled not himself before the Lord, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more.
24 और उसके कर्मचारियों ने द्रोह की गोष्ठी कर के, उसको उसी के भवन में मार डाला।
And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house.
25 तब साधारण लोगों ने उन सभों को मार डाला, जिन्होंने राजा आमोन से द्रोह की गोष्ठी की थी; और लोगों ने उसके पुत्र योशिय्याह को उसके स्थान पर राजा बनाया।
But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
