यह सुनकर कि यारोबाम लौट आया है, समस्त इस्राएल ने उसको मणडली में बुलवा भेज कर, पूर्ण इस्राएल के ऊपर राजा नियुक्त किया, और यहूदा के गोत्र को छोड़ कर दाऊद के घाराने से कोई मिला न रहा।
