Deuteronomy 28:48
इस कारण तुझ को भूखा, प्यासा, नंगा, और सब पदार्थों से रहित हो कर अपने उन शत्रुओं की सेवा करनी पड़ेगी जिन्हें यहोवा तेरे विरुद्ध भेजेगा; और जब तक तू नष्ट न हो जाए तब तक वह तेरी गर्दन पर लोहे का जूआ डाल रखेगा।

| send shall | יְהוָה֙ | yĕhwāh | yeh-VA |
| against thee, in hunger, | בָּ֔ךְ | bāk | bahk |
| thirst, in and | בְּרָעָ֧ב | bĕrāʿāb | beh-ra-AV |
| and in nakedness, | וּבְצָמָ֛א | ûbĕṣāmāʾ | oo-veh-tsa-MA |
| want in and | וּבְעֵירֹ֖ם | ûbĕʿêrōm | oo-veh-ay-ROME |
| of all | וּבְחֹ֣סֶר | ûbĕḥōser | oo-veh-HOH-ser |
| put shall he and things: | כֹּ֑ל | kōl | kole |
| a yoke | וְנָתַ֞ן | wĕnātan | veh-na-TAHN |
| iron of | עֹ֤ל | ʿōl | ole |
| upon | בַּרְזֶל֙ | barzel | bahr-ZEL |
| thy neck, | עַל | ʿal | al |
| until | צַוָּארֶ֔ךָ | ṣawwāʾrekā | tsa-wa-REH-ha |
| he have destroyed | עַ֥ד | ʿad | ad |
| thee. | הִשְׁמִיד֖וֹ | hišmîdô | heesh-mee-DOH |
| אֹתָֽךְ׃ | ʾōtāk | oh-TAHK |
