जो बच गए, वह अपेक को भागकर नगर में घुसे, और वहां उन बचे हुए लोगों में से सत्ताईस हजार पुरुष श्हरपनाह की दीवाल के गिरने से दब कर मर गए। बेन्हदद भी भाग गया और नगर की एक भीतरी कोठरी में गया।
