அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு நலமென்று தோன்றினபடி கொஞ்சக்காலம் சிட்சித்தார்கள்; இவரோ தம்முடைய பரிசுத்தத்துக்கு நாம் பங்குள்ளவர்களாகும்பொருட்டு நம்முடைய பிரயோஜனத்துக்காகவே நம்மைச் சிட்சிக்கிறார்.

மேலும், இவ்வுலகத் தந்தையர் தங்களுக்கு நலமெனத் தோன்றின வகையில் சிறிது காலம் நம்மைத் தண்டித்துத் திருத்தினார்கள். ஆனால் கடவுள், நமது நலனுக்காக, நாமும் அவருடைய தூய்மையில் பங்குகொள்ள வேண்டுமென்பதற்காகவே நம்மைத் தண்டித்துத் திருத்துகிறார்.
