અગાઉ બન્યુ હતું તે જ રીતે આજુબાજુના રાજ્યોએ સાંભળ્યું કે યહોવાએ પોતે જ ઇસ્રાએલના દુશ્મનો સાથે યુદ્ધ કર્યુ હતું, ત્યારે તેઓ દેવથી ભયભીત થઇ ગયા.

તેઓએ પ્રત્યુત્તર આપ્યો, “અમે તમાંરા દેવ યહોવાની મહાન શક્તિ અને સમર્થના વિશે સાંભળ્યું છે. અને ખૂબ દૂરના દેશથી આવ્યા છીએ; અમે એ પણ સાંભળ્યું કેમ તેણે તમને બધાને મિસરમાંથી બહાર લાવ્યા અને મિસરમાં તેણે કરેલ સર્વ વિષે.

કારણ, યહોવાએ એવું કર્યું કે અરામીઓને રથો, ઘોડાઓ અને મોટા સૈન્યના અવાજ જેવો અવાજ સંભળાયો, અને તેથી છાવણીમાં વાત ફેલાઈ ગઈ કે, “ઇસ્રાએલના રાજાએ હિત્તીઓના અને મિસરના રાજાઓને આપણા પર હુમલો કરવા મોકલ્યા છે.”
