Ruth 4:4
મને લાગ્યું કે માંરે તમને તે વિષે વાત કરવી જોઈએ કે, અહીં આપણા જે વડીલો બેઠા છે તેમની સાક્ષીએ તું એ ખરીદી લે. જો તારે કુટુંબી તરીકેનો હક્ક ભોગવવો હોય તો ખરીદી લે, અને જો તારે હક્ક ન ભોગવવો હોય તો તે કહે, જેથી મને ખબર પડે, કારણ નજીકના કુટુંબી તરીકેનો પહેલો હક્ક તારો છે અને તારા પછી માંરા પોતાનો છે.” તેણે કહ્યું, “હું ખરીદી લેવા તૈયાર છું,”

| the inhabitants, | הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים֮ | hayyōšĕbîm | ha-yoh-sheh-VEEM |
| and before | וְנֶ֣גֶד | wĕneged | veh-NEH-ɡed |
| elders the | זִקְנֵ֣י | ziqnê | zeek-NAY |
| of my people. | עַמִּי֒ | ʿammiy | ah-MEE |
| If | אִם | ʾim | eem |
| redeem wilt thou | תִּגְאַל֙ | tigʾal | teeɡ-AL |
| it, redeem | גְּאָ֔ל | gĕʾāl | ɡeh-AL |
| it: but if | וְאִם | wĕʾim | veh-EEM |
| not wilt thou | לֹ֨א | lōʾ | loh |
| redeem | יִגְאַ֜ל | yigʾal | yeeɡ-AL |
| it, then tell | הַגִּ֣ידָה | haggîdâ | ha-ɡEE-da |
| know: may I that me, | לִּ֗י | lî | lee |
| for | וְאֵֽדְעָ֙ | wĕʾēdĕʿā | veh-ay-deh-AH |
| there is none | כִּ֣י | kî | kee |
