હે યહોવા, તમે વિશ્વાસુપણું ચાહો છો. તમે તેઓને પ્રામાણિક બનાવવા પ્રયત્ન કર્યો. તમે તેઓને શિક્ષા કરી પણ તેઓ સુધર્યા નહિ. તમે તેઓને પાયમાલ કર્યા છતાં પોતાના પાપોથી પાછા ફરવા તેઓએ અસંમતિ દર્શાવી. અને પશ્ચાતાપ નહિ કરવાનો તેઓએ નિરધાર કર્યો છે. તેઓ પાષાણથી પણ વધુ કઠણ છે.

જ્ઞાની વ્યકિતનો ઠપકો કાને ધરનારને માટે સોનાની કડી અને સોનાના ઘરેણાં જેવા છે.

શિખામણને નકારનાર આફત નોતરે છે, પણ આજ્ઞાઓનો આદર કરનારને બદલો મળે છે.

જો તમે જ્ઞાની વ્યકિતને સલાહ આપશો તો તે વધુ જ્ઞાની બનશે. અને ન્યાયી વ્યકિતને શિક્ષણ આપશો તો તેના જ્ઞાનમાં વૃદ્ધિ થશે.

જો કોઇ ન્યાયી માણસ મને સુધારે તો હું તેમને સારી વસ્તુ કરવા તરીકે સમજીશ. તેમનો ઠપકો માથા પર તેલ નાખવા જેવો રહેશે. હું કદાપિ આવા સ્વાસ્થ્ય વર્ધકનો નકાર ન કરું! પણ ખરાબ લોકોનાં દુષ્ટ કૃત્યો વિરુદ્ધ હું પ્રાર્થના કરીશ.
