1 મારા પ્રિય ભાઈઓ અને બહેનો, હું તમને ચાહું છું અને તમને મળવા ઈચ્છુ છું. તમારા કારણે મને આનંદ થાય છે અને મને તમારું ગૌરવ છે. મારા કહ્યા પ્રમાણે તમે પ્રભુને અનુસરવાનુ ચાલુ રાખજો.

2 હું યૂવદિયા અને સુન્તુખેને, પ્રભુમાં એક ચિત્તના થવા કહું છું.

3 અને તમે મારા મિત્રો જેણે મારી સાથે વફાદારીપૂર્વક સેવા કરી છે, તેથી આ સ્ત્રીઓને મદદ કરવાનું હું તમને કહું છું. આ સ્ત્રીઓએ સુવાર્તાના પ્રચારમાં મારી સાથે કામ કર્યુ છે. તેઓ કલેમેન્ત અને બીજા લોકો જે મારી સાથે કામ કરતાં હતા તેઓની સાથે કામ કર્યુ છે. જીવનના પુસ્તકમાતેઓનાં નામ લખાઈ ચુક્યાં છે.

4 પ્રભુમાં સદા આનંદ કરો; હું ફરીથી કહું છું કે આનંદ કરો.

5 દરેક લોકોને જાણવા દો કે તમે નમ્ર અને માયાળુ છો. પ્રભુ જલદી આવે છે.

6 કશાની ચિતા ન કરશો. પરંતુ તમારે જે કોઈ જોઈએ છે તે દેવ પાસે માંગો અને પ્રાર્થના કરો. અને જ્યારે તમે પ્રાર્થના કરો ત્યારે હમેશા આભારસ્તુતિ સહિત તમારી અરજો દેવને જણાવો.

7 પ્રભુની શાંતિ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તમાં તમારા હૃદય અને મનનું રક્ષણ કરશે. તે શાંતિ એટલી મહાન છે કે જેને પ્રભુએ આપેલી છે જે આપણે સમજી શકીએ તેમ નથી.

8 ભાઈઓ અને બહેનો, જે વસ્તુ સારી છે અને ધન્યવાદને પાત્ર છે તેના વિષે વિચારવાનું ચાલુ રાખો, જે વસ્તુઓ સત્ય છે, સન્માનીય છે, યથાર્થ અને શુદ્ધ છે, સુંદર અને આદરણીય છે તેનો જ વિચાર કરો.

9 તમે મારા દ્વારા શીખેલા અને મેળવેલાં કાર્ય કરો. મેં તમને કહેલું અને તમે જે કરતા મને જોયો તે સર્વ કરો. અને શાંતિનો દેવ તમારી સાથે રહેશે.

10 હું પ્રભુમાં ઘણો આનંદીત છું કે ફરીથી તમે મારી સંભાળ લો છો. તમે હમેશા મારી સંભાળ લીધી છે, પરંતુ તે દર્શાવી શકાઈ નથી.

11 મારે કશાની જરૂર છે તેથી હું તમને આમ નથી કહેતો, મારી પાસે જે કઈ છે અને જે કઈ બની રહ્યુ છે, તેનાથી સંતોષ મેળવવાનું હું શીખ્યો છુ.

12 દરિદ્રી અને સમૃદ્ધ બને અવસ્થાઓમાં કેવી રીતે જીવવું તે હું જાણું છું, કોઈ પણ વખતે અને ગમે તેવા સંજોગોમાં આનંદી રહેવાનું શીખ્યો છું. મારી પાસે ખાવાને પૂરતું હોય કે ન હોય, આનંદી રહેવાનું હું શીખ્યો છું. મને જરૂરી બધી જ વસ્તુઓ મારી પાસે હોય કે ના હોય, હું આનંદી રહેવાનું જાણું છું.

13 ખ્રિસ્તને કારણે આ બધું હું કરી શકું છું, કારણ કે તે મને આમ કરવાનું સાર્મથ્ય આપે છે.

14 પરંતુ જ્યારે મારે મુશ્કેલીઓ હતી ત્યારે તમે મને મદદ કરી તે ઘણું સારું છે.

15 તમે ફિલિપ્પીના લોકો યાદ કરો જ્યારે મેં ત્યાં સુવાર્તા આપવાની શરૂઆત કરેલી. મેં જ્યારે મકદોનિયા છોડ્યું ત્યારે તમારી એક જ મંડળી એવી હતી કે જેણે મને મદદ કરી.

16 હું જ્યારે થેસ્સાલોનિકામાં હતો ત્યારે મારે જરૂરી વસ્તુઓ તમે મને ઘણીવાર મોકલી.

17 મારે ખરેખર તમારા તરફથી દાન નથી જોઈતું. પરંતુ આપવાથી જે સારું થાય છે તે તમને મળો તેમ હું ઈચ્છુ છું.

18 મારી પાસે જરૂર કરતાં પણ વધારે છે. મારે જરૂરી બધી વસ્તુઓ છે કારણ કે એપાફદિતસ તમે આપેલ દાન લાવ્યો હતો. તમારું દાન દેવને ઘરેલું મધુર મહેકતા અર્પણ જેવું છે. દેવે તે અર્પણ સ્વીકાર્યુ અને પ્રસન્ન થયો.

19 ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુના મહિમાથી મારો દેવ ઘણો સમૃદ્ધ થયો છે. પરંતુ ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુમાં તેની સમૃદ્ધિનો ઉપયોગ તમને જરૂરી બધી વસ્તુઓ આપવામાં કરશે.

20 આપણા દેવ અને બાપને સર્વકાળ મહિમા હો. આમીન.

21 ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુમાં દેવના બધા જ સંતોને સલામ કહેજો. મારી સાથે જે ભાઈઓ છે તેઓ તમને ક્ષેમકુશળ કહે છે.

22 દેવના બધા જ સંતો જે મારી સાથે છે તેઓ તમને ક્ષેમકુશળ કહે છે. બધા સંતોને અને કૈસરના ઘરનાં બધા વિશ્વાસીઓ તમને ક્ષેમકુશળ કહે છે.

23 પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તની કૃપા (દયા) તમારી સાથે રહો. આમીન 

1 Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

2 I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

3 And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.

22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar’s household.

23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

24 It was written to the Philippians from Rome, by Epaphroditus.

10 હું પ્રભુમાં ઘણો આનંદીત છું કે ફરીથી તમે મારી સંભાળ લો છો. તમે હમેશા મારી સંભાળ લીધી છે, પરંતુ તે દર્શાવી શકાઈ નથી.

11 મારે કશાની જરૂર છે તેથી હું તમને આમ નથી કહેતો, મારી પાસે જે કઈ છે અને જે કઈ બની રહ્યુ છે, તેનાથી સંતોષ મેળવવાનું હું શીખ્યો છુ.

12 દરિદ્રી અને સમૃદ્ધ બને અવસ્થાઓમાં કેવી રીતે જીવવું તે હું જાણું છું, કોઈ પણ વખતે અને ગમે તેવા સંજોગોમાં આનંદી રહેવાનું શીખ્યો છું. મારી પાસે ખાવાને પૂરતું હોય કે ન હોય, આનંદી રહેવાનું હું શીખ્યો છું. મને જરૂરી બધી જ વસ્તુઓ મારી પાસે હોય કે ના હોય, હું આનંદી રહેવાનું જાણું છું.

13 ખ્રિસ્તને કારણે આ બધું હું કરી શકું છું, કારણ કે તે મને આમ કરવાનું સાર્મથ્ય આપે છે.

14 પરંતુ જ્યારે મારે મુશ્કેલીઓ હતી ત્યારે તમે મને મદદ કરી તે ઘણું સારું છે.

15 તમે ફિલિપ્પીના લોકો યાદ કરો જ્યારે મેં ત્યાં સુવાર્તા આપવાની શરૂઆત કરેલી. મેં જ્યારે મકદોનિયા છોડ્યું ત્યારે તમારી એક જ મંડળી એવી હતી કે જેણે મને મદદ કરી.

19 ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુના મહિમાથી મારો દેવ ઘણો સમૃદ્ધ થયો છે. પરંતુ ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુમાં તેની સમૃદ્ધિનો ઉપયોગ તમને જરૂરી બધી વસ્તુઓ આપવામાં કરશે.

20 આપણા દેવ અને બાપને સર્વકાળ મહિમા હો. આમીન.
