મોતનો બદલો લેનાર, ખૂનીને મળે ત્યારે તે પોતે જ તેને માંરી નાખે.

અથવા ગુસ્સે થઈને મુક્કા માંરી બીજી વ્યક્તિને માંરી નાખે તો તે ખૂની છે. મોતનો બદલો લેનાર વ્યક્તિ જ્યારે તે ખૂનીને મળે ત્યારે તેને માંરી નાખે.
Deuteronomy 19:6
એમ બને કે બદલો લેવા માંટે મરનારનો નજીકનો સગો ગુસ્સાથી તેની પાછળ દોડે, તે આ ખાસ શહેર પહોચે તે પહેલા પકડી લે અને માંરી નાખે કારણ કે તે ઘણુ દુર છે. આમ નિર્દોષ વ્યકિતનું લોહી વહેવડાવાય કારણ કે એ ખૂની દેહાંતદંડને પાત્ર ન હતો. તેણે જે માંણસને માંરી નાખ્યો તે તેને ઘૃણા કરતો ન હતો.
Deuteronomy 19:12
તો તેના પોતાના નગરના આગેવાનોએ તેને પકડાવી મંગાવવો અને તેને મરનારના નજીકના સગાંને સુપ્રત કરવો પછી તે તેની હત્યા કરે.
Joshua 20:3
અને જો ત્યાં કોઈ માંણસે અકસ્માંતથી કે અજાણતાં કોઈનું ખૂન કર્યું હોય તો આનગરો તેમના માંટે ખૂનીના સગાઓથી છુપાવા માંટેનું આશ્રય સ્થાન બની રહેશે, જેથી જેઓ ખૂનીને માંરી નાખવા માંગતા હોય, તેનાથી રક્ષણ પામી શકે.

જો બદલો લેવા માંગનાર વ્યક્તિ પણ તેનો પીછો તે શહેર તરફ કરે, તો શહેરના લોકોએ ખૂનીને તેના હાથમાં ન સોંપવો. કારણકે એણે ઈરાદા વગર પેલા માંણસનું ખૂન કર્યુ એને તેની સાથે વેર નહોતું.
Numbers 35:12
એ નગરમાં તે મરનારનું વેર લેવા ઈચ્છતા સગાથી તે સુરક્ષિત રહી શકે. સમાંજ સમક્ષ ન્યાય ચલાવ્યા વિના તેને માંરી શકાય નહિ.
Numbers 35:24
તો સમાંજે એ માંરનાર અને મરનારના સૌથી નજીકના સગા વચ્ચેનો ન્યાય આ નિયમો પ્રમાંણે કરવો;

અને મોતનો બદલો લેનાર તેને મળે અને તેને માંરી નાખે તો તે ખૂન ગણાય નહિ.
