Nehemiah 9:1
એ જ મહિનાને ચોવીસમાં દિવસે ઇસ્રાએલી લોકો શોકકંથા પહેરીને અને માથે ધૂળ નાખીને ઉપવાસ કરવા ભેગા થયા.

| were assembled | יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
| with fasting, | בְּצ֣וֹם | bĕṣôm | beh-TSOME |
| sackclothes, with and | וּבְשַׂקִּ֔ים | ûbĕśaqqîm | oo-veh-sa-KEEM |
| and earth | וַֽאֲדָמָ֖ה | waʾădāmâ | va-uh-da-MA |
| upon | עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ | ʿălêhem | uh-lay-HEM |
