એમ કહીને રાજા બાલાક બલામને પિસ્ગાહ પર્વતની ટોચે આવેલા ચોકીના મેદાનમાં લઈ ગયો, ત્યાં તેણે સાત વેદીઓ બાંધી અને પ્રત્યેક વેદી ઉપર એક બળદ અને એક ઘેટાનું બલિદાન આપ્યું.
