મારા દેવે મને પ્રેરિત કર્યો કે, ઉમરાવોને, અધિકારીઓને અને લોકોને સાથે બોલાવવા અને તેમને ભેગા કરી તેમની કુટુંબવાર નોંધ કરવી. દેશવટેથી જેઓ સૌથી પહેલા આવ્યાં હતા તેઓની વંશાવળીની યાદી મને મળી, તેમાં મને આ લખાણ જોવા મળ્યું કે,

પરંતુ દેવની કૃપાએ અત્યારે હું જે છું તે છું. અને દેવની કૃપા જે તેણે મને અર્પિત કરી તે નિરર્થક નથી ગઈ. બીજા બધા પ્રેરિતો કરતા મેં વધારે સખત કામ કર્યુ છે. (જો કે કામ કરનાર હું ન હતો, પરંતુ મારામાં સ્થિત દેવની કૃપા કાર્યરત હતી.)
