ઊંટના વાળમાંથી બનાવેલાં વસ્ત્રો યોહાન પહેરતો હતો. યોહાન તેની કમરે એક ચામડાનો પટટો બાંધતો હતો. તે તીડો તથા જંગલી મધ ખાતો હતો.
