וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨ם Jerubbaal, va-yahsh-KAME יְרֻבַּ֜עַל who yeh-roo-BA-al ה֣וּא is hoo גִדְע֗וֹן Gideon, ɡeed-ONE וְכָל and veh-HAHL הָעָם֙ all ha-AM אֲשֶׁ֣ר the uh-SHER אִתּ֔וֹ people EE-toh וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ that va-ya-huh-NOO עַל were al עֵ֣ין with ane חֲרֹ֑ד him, huh-RODE וּמַֽחֲנֵ֤ה rose oo-ma-huh-NAY מִדְיָן֙ up meed-YAHN הָֽיָה early, HA-ya ל֣וֹ and loh מִצָּפ֔וֹן pitched mee-tsa-FONE מִגִּבְעַ֥ת beside mee-ɡeev-AT הַמּוֹרֶ֖ה the ha-moh-REH בָּעֵֽמֶק׃ well ba-A-mek -
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר the va-YOH-mer יְהוָה֙ Lord yeh-VA אֶל said el גִּדְע֔וֹן unto ɡeed-ONE רַ֗ב Gideon, rahv הָעָם֙ The ha-AM אֲשֶׁ֣ר people uh-SHER אִתָּ֔ךְ that ee-TAHK מִתִּתִּ֥י are mee-tee-TEE אֶת with et מִדְיָ֖ן thee meed-YAHN בְּיָדָ֑ם are beh-ya-DAHM פֶּן too pen יִתְפָּאֵ֨ר many yeet-pa-ARE עָלַ֤י for ah-LAI יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ me yees-ra-ALE לֵאמֹ֔ר to lay-MORE יָדִ֖י give ya-DEE הוֹשִׁ֥יעָה hoh-SHEE-ah לִּֽי׃ the lee -
וְעַתָּ֗ה therefore veh-ah-TA קְרָ֨א go keh-RA נָ֜א to, na בְּאָזְנֵ֤י proclaim beh-oze-NAY הָעָם֙ in ha-AM לֵאמֹ֔ר the lay-MORE מִֽי ears mee יָרֵ֣א of ya-RAY וְחָרֵ֔ד the veh-ha-RADE יָשֹׁ֥ב people, ya-SHOVE וְיִצְפֹּ֖ר saying, veh-yeets-PORE מֵהַ֣ר Whosoever may-HAHR הַגִּלְעָ֑ד is ha-ɡeel-AD וַיָּ֣שָׁב fearful va-YA-shove מִן and meen הָעָ֗ם afraid, ha-AM עֶשְׂרִ֤ים let es-REEM וּשְׁנַ֙יִם֙ him oo-sheh-NA-YEEM אֶ֔לֶף return EH-lef וַֽעֲשֶׂ֥רֶת and va-uh-SEH-ret אֲלָפִ֖ים depart uh-la-FEEM נִשְׁאָֽרוּ׃ early neesh-ah-ROO -
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר the va-YOH-mer יְהוָ֜ה Lord yeh-VA אֶל said el גִּדְע֗וֹן unto ɡeed-ONE עוֹד֮ Gideon, ode הָעָ֣ם The ha-AM רָב֒ people rahv הוֹרֵ֤ד are hoh-RADE אוֹתָם֙ yet oh-TAHM אֶל too el הַמַּ֔יִם many; ha-MA-yeem וְאֶצְרְפֶ֥נּוּ bring veh-ets-reh-FEH-noo לְךָ֖ them leh-HA שָׁ֑ם down shahm וְהָיָ֡ה veh-ha-YA אֲשֶׁר֩ unto uh-SHER אֹמַ֨ר the oh-MAHR אֵלֶ֜יךָ water, ay-LAY-ha זֶ֣ה׀ and zeh יֵלֵ֣ךְ I yay-LAKE אִתָּ֗ךְ will ee-TAHK ה֚וּא try hoo יֵלֵ֣ךְ them yay-LAKE אִתָּ֔ךְ for ee-TAHK וְכֹ֨ל thee veh-HOLE אֲשֶׁר there: uh-SHER אֹמַ֜ר and oh-MAHR אֵלֶ֗יךָ it ay-LAY-ha זֶ֚ה shall zeh לֹֽא be, loh יֵלֵ֣ךְ that yay-LAKE עִמָּ֔ךְ of ee-MAHK ה֖וּא whom hoo לֹ֥א I loh יֵלֵֽךְ׃ say yay-LAKE -
וַיּ֥וֹרֶד he VA-yoh-red אֶת brought et הָעָ֖ם down ha-AM אֶל el הַמָּ֑יִם the ha-MA-yeem וַיֹּ֨אמֶר people va-YOH-mer יְהוָ֜ה unto yeh-VA אֶל the el גִּדְע֗וֹן water: ɡeed-ONE כֹּ֣ל and kole אֲשֶׁר the uh-SHER יָלֹק֩ Lord ya-LOKE בִּלְשׁוֹנ֨וֹ said beel-shoh-NOH מִן unto meen הַמַּ֜יִם Gideon, ha-MA-yeem כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֧ר Every ka-uh-SHER יָלֹ֣ק one ya-LOKE הַכֶּ֗לֶב that ha-KEH-lev תַּצִּ֤יג lappeth ta-TSEEɡ אוֹתוֹ֙ of oh-TOH לְבָ֔ד the leh-VAHD וְכֹ֛ל water veh-HOLE אֲשֶׁר with uh-SHER יִכְרַ֥ע his yeek-RA עַל tongue, al בִּרְכָּ֖יו as beer-KAV לִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃ a leesh-TOTE -
וַיְהִ֗י the vai-HEE מִסְפַּ֞ר number mees-PAHR הַֽמֲלַקְקִ֤ים of ha-muh-lahk-KEEM בְּיָדָם֙ them beh-ya-DAHM אֶל that el פִּיהֶ֔ם lapped, pee-HEM שְׁלֹ֥שׁ putting sheh-LOHSH מֵא֖וֹת their may-OTE אִ֑ישׁ hand eesh וְכֹל֙ to veh-HOLE יֶ֣תֶר their YEH-ter הָעָ֔ם mouth, ha-AM כָּֽרְע֥וּ were ka-reh-OO עַל three al בִּרְכֵיהֶ֖ם hundred beer-hay-HEM לִשְׁתּ֥וֹת men: leesh-TOTE מָֽיִם׃ but MA-yeem -
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר the va-YOH-mer יְהוָ֜ה Lord yeh-VA אֶל said el גִּדְע֗וֹן unto ɡeed-ONE בִּשְׁלֹשׁ֩ Gideon, beesh-LOHSH מֵא֨וֹת By may-OTE הָאִ֤ישׁ the ha-EESH הַֽמֲלַקְקִים֙ three ha-muh-lahk-KEEM אוֹשִׁ֣יעַ hundred oh-SHEE-ah אֶתְכֶ֔ם men et-HEM וְנָֽתַתִּ֥י that veh-na-ta-TEE אֶת lapped et מִדְיָ֖ן will meed-YAHN בְּיָדֶ֑ךָ I beh-ya-DEH-ha וְכָל save veh-HAHL הָעָ֔ם you, ha-AM יֵֽלְכ֖וּ and yay-leh-HOO אִ֥ישׁ deliver eesh לִמְקֹמֽוֹ׃ leem-koh-MOH -
וַיִּקְח֣וּ the va-yeek-HOO אֶת people et צֵדָה֩ took tsay-DA הָעָ֨ם ha-AM בְּיָדָ֜ם victuals beh-ya-DAHM וְאֵ֣ת in veh-ATE שׁוֹפְרֹֽתֵיהֶ֗ם their shoh-feh-roh-tay-HEM וְאֵ֨ת hand, veh-ATE כָּל and kahl אִ֤ישׁ their eesh יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ trumpets: yees-ra-ALE שִׁלַּח֙ and shee-LAHK אִ֣ישׁ he eesh לְאֹֽהָלָ֔יו sent leh-oh-ha-LAV וּבִשְׁלֹשׁ all oo-veesh-LOHSH מֵא֥וֹת may-OTE הָאִ֖ישׁ the ha-EESH הֶֽחֱזִ֑יק rest heh-hay-ZEEK וּמַֽחֲנֵ֣ה of oo-ma-huh-NAY מִדְיָ֔ן Israel meed-YAHN הָ֥יָה every HA-ya ל֖וֹ man loh מִתַּ֥חַת unto mee-TA-haht בָּעֵֽמֶק׃ his ba-A-mek -
וַֽיְהִי֙ it va-HEE בַּלַּ֣יְלָה came ba-LA-la הַה֔וּא to ha-HOO וַיֹּ֤אמֶר pass va-YOH-mer אֵלָיו֙ the ay-lav יְהוָ֔ה same yeh-VA ק֖וּם night, koom רֵ֣ד that rade בַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה the ba-ma-huh-NEH כִּ֥י Lord kee נְתַתִּ֖יו said neh-ta-TEEOO בְּיָדֶֽךָ׃ unto beh-ya-DEH-ha -
וְאִם if veh-EEM יָרֵ֥א thou ya-RAY אַתָּ֖ה fear ah-TA לָרֶ֑דֶת to la-REH-det רֵ֥ד go rade אַתָּ֛ה down, ah-TA וּפֻרָ֥ה go oo-foo-RA נַֽעַרְךָ֖ thou na-ar-HA אֶל with el הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ Phurah HA-ma-huh-NEH -
וְשָֽׁמַעְתָּ֙ thou veh-sha-ma-TA מַה shalt ma יְדַבֵּ֔רוּ hear yeh-da-BAY-roo וְאַחַר֙ what veh-ah-HAHR תֶּֽחֱזַ֣קְנָה they teh-hay-ZAHK-na יָדֶ֔יךָ say; ya-DAY-ha וְיָֽרַדְתָּ֖ and veh-ya-rahd-TA בַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה afterward ba-ma-huh-NEH וַיֵּ֤רֶד shall va-YAY-red הוּא֙ thine hoo וּפֻרָ֣ה hands oo-foo-RA נַֽעֲר֔וֹ be na-uh-ROH אֶל strengthened el קְצֵ֥ה to keh-TSAY הַֽחֲמֻשִׁ֖ים go ha-huh-moo-SHEEM אֲשֶׁ֥ר down uh-SHER בַּֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ unto BA-ma-huh-NEH -
וּמִדְיָ֨ן the oo-meed-YAHN וַֽעֲמָלֵ֤ק Midianites va-uh-ma-LAKE וְכָל and veh-HAHL בְּנֵי the beh-NAY קֶ֙דֶם֙ Amalekites KEH-DEM נֹֽפְלִ֣ים and noh-feh-LEEM בָּעֵ֔מֶק all ba-A-mek כָּֽאַרְבֶּ֖ה the ka-ar-BEH לָרֹ֑ב children la-ROVE וְלִגְמַלֵּיהֶם֙ of veh-leeɡ-ma-lay-HEM אֵ֣ין the ane מִסְפָּ֔ר east mees-PAHR כַּח֛וֹל lay ka-HOLE שֶֽׁעַל along SHEH-al שְׂפַ֥ת in seh-FAHT הַיָּ֖ם the ha-YAHM לָרֹֽב׃ valley la-ROVE -
וַיָּבֹ֣א when va-ya-VOH גִדְע֔וֹן Gideon ɡeed-ONE וְהִ֨נֵּה was veh-HEE-nay אִ֔ישׁ come, eesh מְסַפֵּ֥ר behold, meh-sa-PARE לְרֵעֵ֖הוּ there leh-ray-A-hoo חֲל֑וֹם was huh-LOME וַיֹּ֜אמֶר a va-YOH-mer הִנֵּ֧ה man hee-NAY חֲל֣וֹם that huh-LOME חָלַ֗מְתִּי told ha-LAHM-tee וְהִנֵּ֨ה a veh-hee-NAY צְלִ֜וֹל dream tseh-LEE-ole לֶ֤חֶם unto LEH-hem שְׂעֹרִים֙ his seh-oh-REEM מִתְהַפֵּךְ֙ fellow, meet-ha-pake בְּמַֽחֲנֵ֣ה and beh-ma-huh-NAY מִדְיָ֔ן said, meed-YAHN וַיָּבֹ֣א Behold, va-ya-VOH עַד I ad הָ֠אֹהֶל dreamed HA-oh-hel וַיַּכֵּ֧הוּ a va-ya-KAY-hoo וַיִּפֹּ֛ל dream, va-yee-POLE וַיַּֽהַפְכֵ֥הוּ and, va-ya-hahf-HAY-hoo לְמַ֖עְלָה lo, leh-MA-la וְנָפַ֥ל a veh-na-FAHL הָאֹֽהֶל׃ cake ha-OH-hel -
וַיַּ֨עַן his va-YA-an רֵעֵ֤הוּ fellow ray-A-hoo וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ answered va-YOH-MER אֵ֣ין and ane זֹ֔את said, zote בִּלְתִּ֗י This beel-TEE אִם is eem חֶ֛רֶב nothing HEH-rev גִּדְע֥וֹן else ɡeed-ONE בֶּן save ben יוֹאָ֖שׁ yoh-ASH אִ֣ישׁ the eesh יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל sword yees-ra-ALE נָתַ֤ן of na-TAHN הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ Gideon ha-ay-loh-HEEM בְּיָד֔וֹ the beh-ya-DOH אֶת son et מִדְיָ֖ן of meed-YAHN וְאֶת Joash, veh-ET כָּל a kahl הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ man HA-ma-huh-NEH -
וַיְהִי֩ it vai-HEE כִשְׁמֹ֨עַ was heesh-MOH-ah גִּדְע֜וֹן so, ɡeed-ONE אֶת when et מִסְפַּ֧ר Gideon mees-PAHR הַֽחֲל֛וֹם heard ha-huh-LOME וְאֶת veh-ET שִׁבְר֖וֹ the sheev-ROH וַיִּשְׁתָּ֑חוּ telling va-yeesh-TA-hoo וַיָּ֙שָׁב֙ of va-YA-SHAHV אֶל the el מַֽחֲנֵ֣ה dream, ma-huh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל and yees-ra-ALE וַיֹּ֣אמֶר the va-YOH-mer ק֔וּמוּ interpretation KOO-moo כִּֽי thereof, kee נָתַ֧ן that na-TAHN יְהוָ֛ה he yeh-VA בְּיֶדְכֶ֖ם worshipped, beh-yed-HEM אֶת and et מַֽחֲנֵ֥ה returned ma-huh-NAY מִדְיָֽן׃ into meed-YAHN -
וַיַּ֛חַץ he va-YA-hahts אֶת divided et שְׁלֹשׁ sheh-LOHSH מֵא֥וֹת the may-OTE הָאִ֖ישׁ three ha-EESH שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה hundred sheh-loh-SHA רָאשִׁ֑ים men ra-SHEEM וַיִּתֵּ֨ן into va-yee-TANE שֽׁוֹפָר֤וֹת three shoh-fa-ROTE בְּיַד companies, beh-YAHD כֻּלָּם֙ and koo-LAHM וְכַדִּ֣ים he veh-ha-DEEM רֵיקִ֔ים put ray-KEEM וְלַפִּדִ֖ים a veh-la-pee-DEEM בְּת֥וֹךְ trumpet beh-TOKE הַכַּדִּֽים׃ in ha-ka-DEEM -
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר he va-YOH-mer אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם said uh-lay-HEM מִמֶּ֥נִּי unto mee-MEH-nee תִרְא֖וּ them, teer-OO וְכֵ֣ן Look veh-HANE תַּֽעֲשׂ֑וּ on ta-uh-SOO וְהִנֵּ֨ה me, veh-hee-NAY אָֽנֹכִ֥י and ah-noh-HEE בָא֙ do va בִּקְצֵ֣ה likewise: beek-TSAY הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה and, ha-ma-huh-NEH וְהָיָ֥ה behold, veh-ha-YA כַֽאֲשֶׁר when HA-uh-sher אֶעֱשֶׂ֖ה I eh-ay-SEH כֵּ֥ן come kane תַּֽעֲשֽׂוּן׃ to TA-uh-SOON -
וְתָֽקַעְתִּי֙ I veh-ta-ka-TEE בַּשּׁוֹפָ֔ר blow ba-shoh-FAHR אָֽנֹכִ֖י with ah-noh-HEE וְכָל a veh-HAHL אֲשֶׁ֣ר trumpet, uh-SHER אִתִּ֑י I ee-TEE וּתְקַעְתֶּ֨ם and oo-teh-ka-TEM בַּשּֽׁוֹפָר֜וֹת all ba-shoh-fa-ROTE גַּם that ɡahm אַתֶּ֗ם are ah-TEM סְבִיבוֹת֙ with seh-vee-VOTE כָּל me, kahl הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה then ha-ma-huh-NEH וַֽאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם blow va-uh-mahr-TEM לַֽיהוָ֥ה ye lai-VA וּלְגִדְעֽוֹן׃ the oo-leh-ɡeed-ONE -
וַיָּבֹ֣א Gideon, va-ya-VOH גִ֠דְעוֹן and ɡEED-one וּמֵאָה the oo-may-AH אִ֨ישׁ hundred eesh אֲשֶׁר men uh-SHER אִתּ֜וֹ that EE-toh בִּקְצֵ֣ה were beek-TSAY הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֗ה with ha-ma-huh-NEH רֹ֚אשׁ him, rohsh הָֽאַשְׁמֹ֣רֶת came ha-ash-MOH-ret הַתִּֽיכוֹנָ֔ה unto ha-tee-hoh-NA אַ֛ךְ the ak הָקֵ֥ם outside ha-KAME הֵקִ֖ימוּ of hay-KEE-moo אֶת the et הַשֹּֽׁמְרִ֑ים camp ha-shoh-meh-REEM וַֽיִּתְקְעוּ֙ in va-yeet-keh-OO בַּשּׁ֣וֹפָר֔וֹת the BA-shoh-fa-ROTE וְנָפ֥וֹץ beginning veh-na-FOHTS הַכַּדִּ֖ים of ha-ka-DEEM אֲשֶׁ֥ר the uh-SHER בְּיָדָֽם׃ middle beh-ya-DAHM -
וַֽ֠יִּתְקְעוּ the VA-yeet-keh-oo שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת three sheh-LOH-shet הָֽרָאשִׁ֥ים companies ha-ra-SHEEM בַּשּֽׁוֹפָרוֹת֮ blew ba-shoh-fa-ROTE וַיִּשְׁבְּר֣וּ the va-yeesh-beh-ROO הַכַּדִּים֒ trumpets, ha-ka-DEEM וַיַּֽחֲזִ֤יקוּ and va-ya-huh-ZEE-koo בְיַד brake veh-YAHD שְׂמאוֹלָם֙ the sem-oh-LAHM בַּלַּפִּדִ֔ים pitchers, ba-la-pee-DEEM וּבְיַ֨ד and oo-veh-YAHD יְמִינָ֔ם held yeh-mee-NAHM הַשּֽׁוֹפָר֖וֹת the ha-shoh-fa-ROTE לִתְק֑וֹעַ lamps leet-KOH-ah וַֽיִּקְרְא֔וּ in va-yeek-reh-OO חֶ֥רֶב their HEH-rev לַֽיהוָ֖ה left lai-VA וּלְגִדְעֽוֹן׃ hands, oo-leh-ɡeed-ONE -
וַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙ they va-ya-am-DOO אִ֣ישׁ stood eesh תַּחְתָּ֔יו every tahk-TAV סָבִ֖יב man sa-VEEV לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה in la-ma-huh-NEH וַיָּ֧רָץ his va-YA-rohts כָּל place kahl הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֛ה round ha-ma-huh-NEH וַיָּרִ֖יעוּ about va-ya-REE-oo וַיָּנֽיּסוּ׃ the va-YONE-ysoo -
וַֽיִּתְקְעוּ֮ the va-yeet-keh-OO שְׁלֹשׁ three sheh-LOHSH מֵא֣וֹת hundred may-OTE הַשּֽׁוֹפָרוֹת֒ blew ha-shoh-fa-ROTE וַיָּ֣שֶׂם the va-YA-sem יְהוָ֗ה trumpets, yeh-VA אֵ֣ת and ate חֶ֥רֶב the HEH-rev אִ֛ישׁ Lord eesh בְּרֵעֵ֖הוּ set beh-ray-A-hoo וּבְכָל oo-veh-HAHL הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה every ha-ma-huh-NEH וַיָּ֨נָס man's va-YA-nose הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֜ה sword ha-ma-huh-NEH עַד against ad בֵּ֤ית his bate הַשִּׁטָּה֙ fellow, ha-shee-TA צְֽרֵרָ֔תָה even tseh-ray-RA-ta עַ֛ד throughout ad שְׂפַת all seh-FAHT אָבֵ֥ל the ah-VALE מְחוֹלָ֖ה host: meh-hoh-LA עַל and al טַבָּֽת׃ the ta-BAHT -
וַיִּצָּעֵ֧ק the va-yee-tsa-AKE אִֽישׁ men eesh יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל of yees-ra-ALE מִנַּפְתָּלִ֥י Israel mee-nahf-ta-LEE וּמִן gathered oo-MEEN אָשֵׁ֖ר themselves ah-SHARE וּמִן together oo-MEEN כָּל out kahl מְנַשֶּׁ֑ה of meh-na-SHEH וַֽיִּרְדְּפ֖וּ Naphtali, va-yeer-deh-FOO אַֽחֲרֵ֥י and ah-huh-RAY מִדְיָֽן׃ out meed-YAHN -
וּמַלְאָכִ֡ים Gideon oo-mahl-ah-HEEM שָׁלַ֣ח sent sha-LAHK גִּדְעוֹן֩ messengers ɡeed-ONE בְּכָל throughout beh-HAHL הַ֨ר all hahr אֶפְרַ֜יִם mount ef-RA-yeem לֵאמֹ֗ר Ephraim, lay-MORE רְד֞וּ saying, reh-DOO לִקְרַ֤את Come leek-RAHT מִדְיָן֙ down meed-YAHN וְלִכְד֤וּ against veh-leek-DOO לָהֶם֙ the la-HEM אֶת Midianites, et הַמַּ֔יִם and ha-MA-yeem עַ֛ד take ad בֵּ֥ית before bate בָּרָ֖ה them ba-RA וְאֶת veh-ET הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן the ha-yahr-DANE וַיִּצָּעֵ֞ק waters va-yee-tsa-AKE כָּל unto kahl אִ֤ישׁ Beth-barah eesh אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ and ef-RA-YEEM וַיִּלְכְּד֣וּ Jordan. va-yeel-keh-DOO אֶת Then et הַמַּ֔יִם all ha-MA-yeem עַ֛ד the ad בֵּ֥ית men bate בָּרָ֖ה of ba-RA וְאֶת Ephraim veh-ET הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ gathered ha-yahr-DANE -
