Judges 3:31
એહૂદ પછી આનાથનો પુત્ર શામ્ગાર ન્યાયાધીશ બન્યો. તેણે 600 પલિસ્તીઓને માંરી નાખ્યાં. તેણે ઈસ્રાએલી પ્રજાને ઉગારી હતી.

ન્યાયાધીશો 5:8
ઈસ્રાએલીઓએ નવા દેવ પસંદ કર્યા, પછી તેઓને નગર દરવાજે લડવું પડતું હતું. ભલે તેઓ સંખ્યાની દૃષ્ટિએ 40,000 યોદ્ધાઓ હતાં, પરંતુ તેમની પાસે તરવાર કે બખ્તર નહોતાં!
ન્યાયાધીશો 2:16
ત્યારબાદ યહોવાએ ઈસ્રાએલીઓ ઉપર ન્યાયાધીશો નીમ્યા. અને તેઓએ તેમને શત્રુઓના હાથમાંથી ઉગારી લીધા.

સમગ્ર ઇસ્રાએલમાં એક પણ ઇસ્રાએલી લુહાર શોધ્યો જડતો ન હતો. કારણ, પલિસ્તીઓએ ઇસ્રાએલીઆને લોઢાની તરવાર અને ભાલા બનાવવાની કળા શીખવી હતી નહિ તેના કારણે તેઓ ઇસ્રાએલીઓથી ડરતા હતા.

શમુએલ વિષેની ખબર આખા ઇસ્રાએલમાં ફેલાઇ ગઇ. તે દિવસોમાં ઇસ્રાએલીઓ પલિસ્તીઓ વિરુદ્ધ લડવા નીકળી પડ્યા. ઇસ્રાએલીઓએ એબેન-એઝેરમાં છાવણી નાખી અને પલિસ્તીઓએ અફેકમાં છાવણી નાખી.

તેણે ત્યાં જમીન પર પડેલું ગધેડાનું જડબું ઉપાડયું અને તેના વડે એકહજાર માંણસોને માંરી નાખ્યાં.

આમ્મોનીના સૈન્યને સાથે બોલાવવામાં આવ્યું હતું અને તેઓએ ગિલયાદમાં છાવણી નાખી હતી. ઈસ્રાએલનું સૈન્ય પણ સાથે થવા એકઠું થયું અને મિસ્પાહમાં છાવણી નાખી.

આથી યહોવાનો રોષ ઈસ્રાએલીઓ સામે ભભૂકી ઊઠયો અને તેણે તેમને પલિસ્તીઓ અને આમ્મોનીઓના હાથમાં સોંપી દીધા.
ન્યાયાધીશો 4:3
યાબીન પાસે લોખંડના 900 રથ હતાં અને 20 વર્ષ સુધી તેણે ઈસ્રાએલીઓ ઉપર ભારે જુલમ ગુજાર્યો હતો, તેથી તેઓએ યહોવાને સહાય માંટે પોકાર કર્યો.
ન્યાયાધીશો 4:1
એહૂદના મૃત્યુ પછી ઈસ્રાએલી પ્રજાએ ફરી એક વાર યહોવાની દૃષ્ટિએ પાપ ગણાય એવું આચરણ કર્યું.
