Genesis 41:43
પછી તેણે યૂસફને પોતાના પછીના ઉત્તમ રથમાં બેસાડીને ફેરવ્યો. લોકોએ તેની આગળ દયા પોકારી: ‘વંદન હો’ એવી છડી પોકારી. ફારુને આ રીતે યૂસફને આખા મિસર દેશનો શાસનકર્તા બનાવ્યો.

ઊત્પત્તિ 42:6
મિસર દેશનો શાસનકર્તા યુસફ હતો. દેશના તમાંમ લોકોને તે જ અનાજ વેચાતું આપતો હતો; તેથી યૂસફના ભાઈઓએ તેમની સામે આવીને ભોય લગી મસ્તક નમાંવીને સાષ્ટાંગ પ્રણામ કર્યા.
ઊત્પત્તિ 45:26
અને તેઓએ તેને કહ્યું, “યૂસફ હજુ જીવે છે, અને સમગ્ર મિસરનો તે શાસનકર્તા છે.”આ સાંભળીને યાકૂબ તો સ્તબ્ધ થઈ ગયો. તેને ગળે એ વાત ન ઉતરી.

તેમણે કહ્યું, “જે માંણસ તે દેશનો શાસનકર્તા છે તેણે અમાંરી સાથે કડકાઈથી વાત કરી અને અમને કઠોર વેણ કહ્યાં, ને અમને દેશના જાસૂસ ગણ્યા.

યૂસફને ત્યાં ઘણી મુશ્કેલીઓ હતી. પણ દેવે તેને તે બધી મુશ્કેલીઓમાંથી બચાવ્યો. ફારુંન મિસરનો રાજા હતો. તેને યૂસફ ગમતો અને તેને માન આપતો કારણ કે દેવે યૂસફને ડહાપણ આપ્યું. ફારુંને યૂસફને મિસરનો અધિકાર બનાવી જવાબદારી સોંપી. અને ફારુંનના મહેલના તમામ લોકો પર શાસન કરવાની જવાબદારી સોંપી.

દેવે આ કર્યું કારણ કે આકાશમાં, પૃથ્વીમાં કે પાતાળમાં સ્થિત દરેક વ્યક્તિ ઈસુના નામે ઘૂંટણે પડીને નમે તેવી દેવની ઈચ્છા હતી.
