Galatians 4:1
મારે તમને આ કહેવું છે: જ્યાં સુધી વારસદાર બાળક છે, ત્યાં સુધી તેનામાં અને ગુલામમાં કોઈ ફેર નથી. એનો કશો જ અર્થ નથી કે વારસદાર બધી જ વસ્તુનો માલિક છે. શા માટે!

ગુલામ સ્ત્રીથી ઈબ્રાહિમનો પુત્ર માનવ જન્મે તેવી કુદરતી રીતે જન્મેલો હતો. પરંતુ મુક્ત સ્ત્રીથી જન્મેલો પુત્ર દેવે ઈબ્રાહિમને વચન આપેલું તેના થકી જન્મેલો.

પછી યહોયાદા રાજકુંવર યોઆશને સંતાડયો હતો ત્યાંથી બહાર લઈ આવ્યા. અને તેના માથા પર રાજમુગટ મૂકયો. તેને કરારની નકલ આપી અને રાજા તરીકે તેનો અભિષેક કર્યો. લોકોએ તાળીઓ પાડીને પોકાર કર્યો, “રાજા ઘણું જીવો.”

યહોયાદા યાજકના ઉપદેશાનુસાર તેણે જીવન પર્યત યહોવાની નજરમાં સાચાં ગણાય એવાં કાર્યો કર્યા હતાં.
