પછીતનાં અને ખૂણાઓનાં પાટિયાં નીચેથી જોડેલાં હતાં અને ઠેઠ ઉપરથી પહેલી કડી સુધી જોડી દીધેલાં હતાં.

આ ખૂણા પરનાં પાટિયાં નીચેથી એકબીજા સાથે બંધ બેસતાં હોય અને તે ઠેઠ ઉપર એક કડી બધાં પાટિયાંને સાથે રાખે. બન્ને ખુણાઓમાં એમ કરવું. બે ખૂણા માંટેનાં બે પાટિયાં આ રીતે બનાવવાં એટલે બે ખૂણા બની જશે,

યહૂદી નિયમમાં ઘણી આજ્ઞાઓ અને નિયંત્રણો હતાં. પરંતુ ખ્રિસ્તે આ નિયમનો જ અંત આણ્યો, ખ્રિસ્તનો હેતુ બે ભિન્ન પ્રકારના જનસમૂહને (યહૂદી અને બિનયહૂદી) એક નૂતન જનસમૂહના રૂપે તેનામાં પ્રસ્થાપિત કરવાનો હતો. અને આમ કરીને ખ્રિસ્તે શાંતિ સ્થાપી.

મૃત્યુના આ મોટા ભયમાંથી દેવે અમને બચાવ્યા અને દેવ અમને સતત બચાવશે. અમારી આશા તેનામાં છે, અને તે અમને બચાવવાનું ચાલુ રાખશે.

આપણમાંના કેટલાએક યહૂદિ છીએ તો કેટલાએક ગ્રીક લોકો; આપણામાંના કેટલાએક ગુલામ છીએ તો કેટલાએક સ્વતંત્ર. પરંતુ આપણે બધાજ એક જ આત્મા દ્વારા એક જ શરીરમાં બાપ્તિસ્મા પામેલા છીએ અને આપણને બધાને તે જ એક આત્મા પ્રદાન કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.

ભાઈઓ અને બહેનો, આપણા પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તના નામે હું તમને વિનંતી કરું છું કે તમે બધા એક મતના થાઓ. જેથી કરીને તમારામાં કોઈ ભાગલા ન પડે. હું તમને વિનંતી કરું છું કે તમે એ જ હેતુથી એ જ વિચારમાં સંપૂર્ણ રીતે એક થાઓ.

વિશ્વાસીઓનું મંડળ એક મનનું તથા એક જીવનું હતું. સમૂહનો કોઇ પણ વ્યક્તિ તેઓની પાસે જે વસ્તુઓ હતી તેની માલિકી તરીકેનો દાવો તેમાંના કોઈએ કર્યો નહિ. તેને બદલે તેઓ દરેક વસ્તુના ભાગ કરી વહેંચતા.

વિશ્વાસીઓ પ્રતિદિન મંદિરના આંગણામાં ભેગા મળતા. તેઓ બધાને હેતુ સર્વ સામાન્ય હતો. તેઓ તેઓના ઘરોમાં એક સાથે જમતા. તેઓ રોટલી ભાંગીને ઉમંગથી તથા નિખાલસથી ખાતા.
