Exodus 13:13
પ્રત્યેક ગધેડાંનું પ્રથમ બચ્ચુ તેની જગ્યામાં એક હલવાન અર્પણ કરીને, યહોવા પાસેથી પાછું મેળવી શકાય છે. તમે લોકો જો ન છોડાવો તો તમાંરે તેની ડોકી ભાંગી નાખવી. તે ભોગ બનશે. તમાંરે પ્રત્યેક પ્રથમ જન્મેલો નર સંતાન દેવ પાસેથી પાછો ખરીદવાનો છે.

જો તમે ગધેડાના પ્રથમ બચ્ચાંને રાખવા માંગતા હોય તો તેને બદલે હલવાન આપીને તેને ખરીદી શકાય. જો તું તેને ખંડી લેવા ના ઈચ્છતો હોય તો તેની ડોક ભાંગી નાખવી, અને તારા બધા જ પ્રથમજનિત પુત્રોને તારે ખંડી લેવાના છે. ભેટ લાવ્યા વિના કોઈએ માંરી સમક્ષ ખાલી હાથે આવવું નહિ.
ગણના 18:15
“તેઓ મને પ્રથમજનિત બાળકો અને પશુઓ અર્પણ કરે તે પણ તારાં છે. છતાં પ્રત્યેક પ્રથમજનિત બાળકની તથા અશુદ્ધ પ્રાણીની કિંમત લઈને તારે તેમને મુકત કરવાં.

ઇસ્રાએલના આખા સમાંજને આદેશ છે કે: આ મહિનાના દશમાં દિવસે પ્રત્યેક વ્યક્તિ પોતાના પરિવારના માંટે એક ઘેટાનુ બચ્ચું પ્રાપ્ત કરશે.

લેવીઓની સંખ્યા કરતાં ઇસ્રાએલીઓના પ્રથમજનિત પુત્રોની સંખ્યા 273 જેટલી વધુ છે. એટલે તું તેઓને એ વધારના પુત્રોને છોડાવી લેવા કહે.
પ્રકટીકરણ 14:4
આ 1,44,000 એવા લોકો છે, જેઓએ સ્ત્રીઓ સાથે કોઈ કુકર્મ કર્યું નથી. તેઓએ પોતાની જાતને શુદ્ધ રાખી છે. તેઓ જ્યાં જતા ત્યાં હલવાનને અનુસરતા. પૃથ્વી પરના લોકોમાંથી આ 1,44,000નો ઉદ્ધાર કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. દેવને અને હલવાનને અર્પિત થનાર તેઓ પહેલા હત.
