આ રીતે તે દિવસે યહોવાએ ઇસ્રાએલીઓને મિસરીઓના હાથમાંથી બચાવી લીધા. અને ઇસ્રાએલીઓએ મિસરીઓને સમુદ્ર કિનારે મૃત હાલતમાં પડેલા જોયા.

જયારે જયારે યહોવા તેમના ઉપર કોઈ ન્યાયાધીશ નીમતા ત્યારે તેઓ તેની સાથે રહેતા, તેણે તેઓની કાળજી લીધી અને તેમનું તેમના શત્રુઓથી રક્ષણ કર્યુ. તેણે તેઓની ઉપર દયા બતાવવા આમ કર્યુ કારણકે તેઓના શત્રુઓ દ્વારા તેમના ઉપર જુલમો અને અત્યાચારો થયાં હતાં.

પણ યહોવાએ ઇસ્રાએલના નામને ધરતીના પડ પરથી ભૂંસી ન નાખવાનો નિશ્ચય કર્યો હતો, આથી તેમણે યોઆશના પુત્ર યરોબઆમ મારફત તેમણે તેઓને વિજય અપાવ્યા.
