યહૂદાએ જોયું કે તેઓએ ઈસુને મારી નાખવાનું નક્કી કર્યુ છે. યહૂદા ઈસુને તેના દુશ્મનોને સોંપનારાઓમાંનો એક હતો. જ્યારે યહૂદાઓ શું બન્યું તે જોયું ત્યારે તેણે જે કંઈ કર્યુ હતું તે માટે ઘણો દિલગીર થયો. તેથી તે મુખ્ય યાજકો તથા વડીલ આગેવાનો પાસે 30 ચાંદીના સિક્કા પાછા લાવ્યો.
