Mark 13:20
તે ભયંકર સમયને ટૂંકો કરવાનો નિર્ણય દેવે કર્યો છે. જો તે સમયને ટૂંકો કરવામાં ન આવ્યો હોત તો પછી કોઈ વ્યક્તિ જીવતી રહી શકી ના હોત. પણ દેવે તેણે પસંદ કરેલા તેના ખાસ લોકોને માટે તે સમય ટૂંકો કર્યો છો.

જો સૈન્યોના દેવ યહોવાએ આપણામાંના થોડાકને બાકી રહેવા ન દીધા હોત, તો આપણે સદોમ અને ગમોરાના જેવા નામશેષ થઇ ગયા હોત.” છ ગેલન દ્રાક્ષરસ એક બાથ,એક બાથ એટલે લગભગ છ ગેલન.એક ઓમેર એટલે લગભગ 65 ગેલન બી વાવ્યા પછી એક એફાહ- એટલે કે લગભગ 6 ગેલન અનાજ ઉપજશે.માહેર-શાલાલ-હાશ-બાઝ ઇસાઇઆહનાં પુત્રોમાંના એકનું નામ છે જેનો અર્થ થાય છે, “લૂંટારો પોતાનો લૂંટનો માલ લેવા ઝડપથી આવે છે.”શેઓલ શેઓલ એ જગ્યા છે જ્યાં હિબ્રુ માન્યતા પ્રમાણે બધા મૃતલોકો ત્યાં જાય છે. સામાન્ય રીતે તે સજાની જગા હોય છે એવું મનાતું નથી.ત્સવ, લે ... ઝર શામ! શાબ્દિક રીતે “નિયમ પછી નિયમ, આજ્ઞા પછી રેખા, થોડું અહીં, થોડું ત્યાં” આ મૂળાક્ષર શીખવા માટે થઇને બાળકો માટેના ગીતના શબ્દો છે. તેનો અર્થ એ છે કે લોકોએ તેમના વિજેતાઓ સાથે બોલવા માટે નવી ભાષા શીખવી પડશે અથવા તો તેમના વિજેતા બોલશે તે વાણી તેમના માટે અર્થહીન જેવી હશે કારણ કે તેઓ તેને સમજતા નથી.
Isaiah 6:13
તે છતાં જો તેનો દશમો ભાગ પણ બચી જાય, તો તેને ફરીથી બાળી નાખવામાં આવશે. જ્યારે મોટું ઝાડ કાપી નાખવામાં આવે છે ત્યારે ઠૂંઠા બાકી બચે છે. ઇસ્રાએલના બાકી રહેલા લોકો તે ઠૂંઠા જેવા હશે.
Romans 11:5
એવું જ અત્યારે પણ છે. થોડાક માણસો એવા છે કે જેઓ દેવ કૃપાથી પસંદ કરાયા છે.
Romans 11:23
અને જો યહૂદિઓ ફરીથી દેવમાં માનતા થશે તો, દેવ એમને ફરી પાછા અપનાવી લેશે. તેઓ જ્યાં હતા ત્યાં મૂળ સ્થાને તેમને પુન:સ્થાપિત કરવા દેવ સમર્થ છે.
