Luke 24:1
વહેલી સવારે, અઠવાડિયાના પહેલા દિવસે, સ્ત્રીઓ કબર પાસે જ્યાં ઈસુનો દેહ મૂક્યો હતો ત્યાં આવી. તેઓ તેને માટે બનાવેલા સુગંધી દ્ધવ્યો લાવી હતી.

અઠવાડિયાના પ્રથમ દિવસે વહેલી સવારે મરિયમ મગ્દલાની કબર પાસે ગઈ જ્યાં ઈસુનું શબ હતું ત્યાં હજુ અંધારું હતું. મરિયમે જોયું કે જે મોટો પથ્થર પ્રવેશદ્વાર પર ઢાંકેલો હતો તે દૂર ખસેડવામાં આવ્યો હતો.

આ સ્ત્રીઓમાં મગ્દલાની મરિયમ, યોહાન્ના યાકૂબની મા મરિયમ તથા કેટલીએક બીજી સ્ત્રીઓ હતી. આ સ્ત્રીઓએ પ્રેરિતોને જે કંઈ બન્યું હતું તે બધું કહ્યું.

ઘણી સ્ત્રીઓ વધસ્તંભથી દૂર ઊભી રહીને જોતી હતી. આ સ્ત્રીઓ ઈસુ સાથે ગાલીલમાંથી આવી હતી. અને તેની સેવા કરતી હતી.

વિશ્રામવારપૂર્ણ થયા પછી અઠવાડિયાના પ્રથમ દિવસની વહેલી સવારે મગ્દલાની મરિયમ તથા બીજી મરિયમ કબર તરફ નજર કરવા આવી.

કેટલીક સ્ત્રીઓ વધસ્તંભથી દૂર ઊભી રહીને જોતી હતી. આ સ્ત્રીઓમાં મરિયમ માગ્દલાની, ઈસુકો નાનો ભાઈ યાકૂબ તથા યોસેની મા મરિયમ અને શલોમી હતી. (યાકૂબ તેનો સૌથી નાનો પુત્ર હતો.)

વિશ્રામવારના વીતી ગયા પછીના બીજા દિવસે, મરિયમ મગ્દલાની, શલોમી, તથા યાકૂબની મા મરિયમે કટલાક સુગંધીદાર દ્રવ્યો તેને ચોળવા સારું વેચાતાં લીધા.
Luke 8:2
તેની સાથે કેટલીએક સ્ત્રીઓ પણ હતી. ઈસુએ તે સ્ત્રીઓને ભૂંડા આત્માઓના બંધનમાંથી મુક્ત કરીને તેઓને માંદગીમાંથી સાજી કરી હતી. તે સ્ત્રીઓમાંની એકનું નામ મરિયમ હતું, તે મગ્દલા ગામની હતી. જેનામાંથી સાત ભૂત નીકળ્યાં હતાં.
Luke 23:55
જે સ્ત્રીઓ ગાલીલથી ઈસુની સાથે આવી હતી તે યૂસફ પાસે ગઇ. તેઓએ કબર જોઈ. તેઓએ જ્યાં ઈસુનો દેહ મૂકવામાં આવ્યો હતો તે પણ જોયું.
