તને શું કહું? હે યરૂશાલેમનગરી; હે કુંવારી સિયોનપુત્રી તને કોની ઉપમા આપું? તને કોની સાથે સરખાવી? તારી સાગર જેવી વિશાળ વેદનાનો ઉપાય કોણ કરશે?

પરંતુ હવે બાબિલનું અચાનક પતન થયું છે. તે ભાંગ્યું છે. તેને માટે ચિંતા કરો, તેના ઘા માટે ઔષધી લઇ આવો. કદાચ તે સાજું થાય પણ ખરું.
