3 John 1:10
જયારે હું આવીશ, ત્યારે હું દિયોત્રફેસ શું કરે છે તે વિશે કહીશ. તે જૂઠુ બોલે છે અને અમારા વિષે ભૂંડું બોલે છે. પરંતુ તે જે બધું કરે છે તે એટલું જ નથી! તે જે ભાઈઓ ખ્રિસ્તની સેવાનાં કામો કરે છે તેઓને મદદ કરવાની પણ ના પાડે છે. દિયોત્રફેસ પેલા લોકો જે ભાઈઓને મદદ કરવા ઈચ્છે છે તેઓને પણ અટકાવે છે. અને તે લોકોને મંડળીમાંથી બહિષ્કૃત કરે છે.

Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

લોકો ખરેખર આમ બોલી રહ્યા છે કે તમારામાં વ્યભિચારનું પાપ છે. અને વ્યભિચારનું એક એવા ખરાબ પ્રકારનું પાપકર્મ છે કે જે લોકો દેવને જાણતા નથી તેવા લોકોમાં પણ વ્યાપ્ત નથી. લોકો આમ કહે છે કે પેલા માણસ સાથે તેના પિતાની પત્ની છે.
યોહાન 9:34
યહૂદિ અધિકારીઓએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “તું તો ભરપૂર પાપોમાં જનમ્યો છે! શું તું અમને ઉપદેશ આપવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરે છે?” અને યહૂદિ અધિકારીઓએ તે માણસને કાઢી મૂક્યો.

જે વ્યકિત આંખ મિંચકારે છે તે મુશ્કેલીઓ વહોરે છે. અનેપરંતુ લવારી કરનાર નાશ પામશે.
3 યોહાનનો પત્ર 1:5
મારા પ્રિય મિત્ર, તું ખ્રિસ્તમાં ભાઈઓને માટે હા, પારકા ભાઈઓને માટે પણ, તું જે કંઈ કરે છે તે તું વિશ્વાસ કરનારને યોગ્ય કામ કરે છે. તુ જેને જાણતો નથી એવા ભાઈઓને પણ તું મદદ કરે છે.
