તમે અમને નજીવી કિંમતમાં વેચી દીધાં છે, શું તમારી નજરમાં અમારી કોઇ કિંમત નથી ?

પણ હે યહોવા, તમે અમને તજી દીધા છે અને શરમિંદા કર્યા છે. તમે અમારી સાથે યુદ્ધ માટે આવ્યાં ન હતાં.

પણ તેમણે દેવના સંદેશવાહકોની ઠેકડી ઉડાવી, દેવના વચનોની ઉપેક્ષા કરી, અને પ્રબોધકોને હસી કાઢયા, એટલે સુધી કે આખરે તેમના ઉપર યહોવાનો રોષ એવો તો ઊતર્યો કે, કોઇ ઉપાય ન રહ્યો.

“કારણ કે યહોવા પોતે તેમનો શ્રાપ તમાંરા પર મોકલશે, યહોવા તમને શ્રાપ આપશે અને તમને વ્યાકુળ બનાવી દેશે. તમે જે કાંઇ કરશો તેમાં નિષ્ફળતા તથા આફતો આવશે. અંતે તમે થોડાજ સમયમાં નાશ પામશો. કારણ કે તમે દુષ્ટકર્મો કરીને યહોવાને છોડી દીધા છે.
Deuteronomy 28:25
“યહોવા તમાંરા દુશ્મનોથી તમાંરો પરાજય કરાવડાવશે. તમે એક દિશામાંથી તેમના ઉપર હુમલો કરશો પરંતુ તમે તેમનાથી સાત જુદી દિશાઓમાં ભારે ગુંચવાઇને ભાગી જશો. સમગ્ર પૃથ્વીનાં રાજયો તમાંરી દશા જોઈને ભયભીત થઇ જશે.

“આ પુસ્તકમાં નિયમના લખેલ એકેએક શબ્દો તમે નહિ પાળો અને તમાંરા દેવ યહોવાના મહિમાંવંત અને ભયજનક નામનો નકાર કરશો,

“તમાંરામાં એવી કોઈ વ્યકિત ના હોવી જોઈએ, જે આજ્ઞાભંગની સજાનાં વચનો સાંભળ્યા છતાં તેને ગંભીરતાથી ન સ્વીકારે અને એવું વિચારે કે મન ફાવે તે રીતે ચાલીશ છતાં માંરું કશું અહિત નહિ થાય! કારણ, સૂકા ભેગું લીલું પણ બળી જશે.
Deuteronomy 31:17
ત્યારે માંરો કોપ તે લોકો પર ભભૂકી ઊઠશે અને હું તેઓને તજી દઈશ. અને તેમનાથી વિમુખ થઈ જઈશ. તેમના પર અનેક આફતો અને સંકટો ઊતરશે અને તેઓને ભરખી જશે, ત્યારે તેઓ કહેશે કે, ‘આપણા દેવ આપણી વચ્ચે નથી તેથી આ બધા સંકટો આપણા પર આવે છે.’
Judges 1:19
અને યહોવા, યહૂદાના લોકોની સાથે હતાં તેઓએ પર્વતીય પ્રદેશ કબજે કરી લીધો. પરંતુ તેઓ પાસે લોખંડના રથ નહિ હોવાથી નીચાણના દેશની પ્રજાને તેઓ કાઢી શક્યા નહિ.
Judges 1:34
અમોરીઓએ દાનના કુળસમૂહના લોકોને પહાડી પ્રદેશમાં વસવા માંટે દબાણ કર્યુ અને તે લોકોને નીચે ખીણપ્રદેશમાં આવવા દીધા નહિ.
Judges 3:7
આમ ઈસ્રાએલીઓ દેવની દૃષ્ટિમાં દુષ્ટ પાપી થઈ ગયા. પોતાના દેવ યહોવાને છોડી બઆલ દેવ અને અશેરોથની પૂજા કરવા લાગ્યા.
Leviticus 26:28
તો હું પણ ક્રોધે ભરાઈને તમાંરી સામે પડીશ અને તમાંરાં પાપોની સાતગણી મોટી શિક્ષા તમને કરીશ.
