Joshua 8:22
તે જ સમયે નગરથી બહાર આવેલા સૈનિકોએ પણ તેમના ઉપર હુમલો કર્યો, આથી ‘આય’ ના માંણસો બધી બાજુઓ ઘેરાઈ ગયા. ઇસ્રાએલીઓએ તેમનો સંહાર કર્યો. એક પણ માંણસ જીવતો ના રહ્યો કે ના ભાગી જવા પામ્યો.

| of Israel, | בַּתָּ֔וֶךְ | battāwek | ba-TA-vek |
| some | אֵ֥לֶּה | ʾēlle | A-leh |
| side, this on | מִזֶּ֖ה | mizze | mee-ZEH |
| and some | וְאֵ֣לֶּה | wĕʾēlle | veh-A-leh |
| side: that on | מִזֶּ֑ה | mizze | mee-ZEH |
| and they smote | וַיַּכּ֣וּ | wayyakkû | va-YA-koo |
| that so them, | אוֹתָ֔ם | ʾôtām | oh-TAHM |
| they let | עַד | ʿad | ad |
| none | בִּלְתִּ֥י | biltî | beel-TEE |
| of them remain | הִשְׁאִֽיר | hišʾîr | heesh-EER |
