Joshua 11:20
કારણકે યહોવાએ શત્રુઓના મન કઠોર બનાવી નાખ્યા હતાં જેઓ ઇસ્રાએલ સામે લડવા કૃતનિશ્ચય હતા, જેથી યહોવાએ મૂસાને જણાવ્યા મુજબ તેઓ નિર્દયી રીતે માંર્યા જાય.

દેવે જે કર્યુ છે તે પણ કઈક આવું જ છે. દેવની ઈચ્છા હતી કે લોકો તેનો કોપ તેમજ સાર્મથ્ય જુએ. જે લોકો સર્વનાશને લાયક હતા, એમના પર દેવ ગુસ્સે થયો હતો, એવા લોકોને પણ દેવે ખૂબ જ ધીરજપૂર્વક સહન કર્યા.
