યહૂદિઓમાંના ઘણાએ સાંભળ્યું કે ઈસુ બેથનિયામાં હતો. તેથી તેઓ ઈસુને જોવા ત્યાં ગયા. તેઓ ત્યાં લાજરસને જોવા પણ ગયા. ઈસુએ મૃત્યુમાંથી ઊભા કરેલામાંનો એક લાજરસ હતો.
