જ્યારે તમે પોતે જ યરૂશાલેમના બધાં લોકોને આ પત્ર તમારા પોતાના નામે મોકલ્યા, અને માઅસેયાના પુત્ર સફાન્યા અને બધા યાજકોને કહ્યું,

શાઉલે તેને દમસ્ક શહેરની સભાઓના યહૂદિઓને પત્રો લખવાનું કહ્યું. શાઉલે ખ્રિસ્તના માર્ગના શિષ્યોને દમસ્કમાં શોધવાનો અધિકાર પ્રમુખ યાજક પાસેથી માગ્યો. જો તેને કોઈ સ્ત્રી કે પુરુંષ મળે તો તેઓને યરૂશાલેમ લઈ આવે.
