Jeremiah 27:11
“‘પણ જો કોઇ પ્રજા બાબિલના રાજાની ઝૂંસરી આગળ ગરદન ઝુકાવી દેશે, તો હું તેને પોતાની ભૂમિમાં સુખથી રહેવા દઇશ. તેઓ ત્યાં ખેતી કરશે અને વસસે.”‘ આ યહોવાના વચન છે.

“‘બળવાન પ્રજા અને રાજ્ય, બાબિલની ઝૂંસરી નીચે તમારી ગરદન મૂકો! જે કોઇ પ્રજા તેના ગુલામ બનવા ના પાડશે તેને હું શિક્ષા કરીશ. તે પ્રજા પર હું યુદ્ધ, દુકાળ અને મરકી મોકલીશ જેથી અંતે તે બાબિલના હાથમાં સોંપાઇ જાય.

“‘યહૂદિયાના રાજા સિદકિયાને આ બધી બાબતો મે કહી, મેં કહ્યું, “તમે બાબિલના રાજાને શરણે જાવ, જેથી તમે જીવતા રહેશો.

“આ યહોવાના વચન છે: ‘જે કોઇ આ નગરમાં રહેશે તે યુદ્ધ, દુકાળ કે રોગચાળાથી મૃત્યુ પામશે, પણ જે કોઇ બાબિલવાસીઓને શરણે જવા બહાર ચાલ્યો જશે તે બચવા પામશે, કઇઁં નહિ તો તે જીવતો તો રહેશે જ.’

‘જો તમે ફરી આ દેશમાં જ નિવાસ કરશો તો હું તમને આશીર્વાદ આપીશ, તોડી પાડીશ નહિ, તમારા મૂળીયાં રોપીશ, ઉખેડી નાખીશ નહિ, કારણ તમારા પર મેં આફત ઉતારી તેનો મને પસ્તાવો થાય છે.
