Isaiah 59:14
અમે ન્યાયને પાછો કાઢીએ છીએ અને ધર્મને આઘો રાખીએ છીએ. ન્યાયીપણું નગરનાં ચોકમાં ઠોકર ખાય છે, અને પ્રામાણિકતાને પ્રવેશવા દેવામાં આવતી નથી.

અદાલતમાં સાચી ફરિયાદ કરવાં કોઇ જતું નથી. સૌ પોકળ દલીલો પર આશા બાંધે છે, ને સૌ કોઇ જૂઠાણું ચલાવે છે. દુષ્ટ મનસૂબા ઘડે છે અને અધર્મ આચરે છે.

જેઓ અન્યાયી કાયદા ઘડે છે અને અન્યાયી ચુકાદાઓ લખે છે;

તે લોકો લાંચ લઇને ગુનેગારને નિદોર્ષ ઠરાવે છે અને નિદોર્ષને ગુનેગાર ઠરાવે છે.

દેવ કહે છે, “તમે ક્યાં સુધી ખોટો ન્યાય કરવાનું ચાલુ રાખશો? ક્યાં સુધી તમે દુષ્ટો ઉપર વિશેષ કૃપા કરવાનું ચાલુ રાખશો?”

હે દુષ્ટ લોકો, તમે ગરીબ અને પગતળે કચડાયેલા માટે “ન્યાય” એક કડવી ગોળી બનાવી છે. સચ્ચાઇ એ તમારા માટે એક નિરર્થક શબ્દ છે.
