Isaiah 5 in Gujarati

1 હવે હું મારા પ્રિયતમ અને જેને હું સ્નેહ કરું છું તેની સમક્ષ તેની દ્રાક્ષવાટિકા વિષે ગીત ગાઉં છું. ફળદ્રુપ ટેકરી પર મારા પ્રિયતમની એક દ્રાક્ષની વાડી હતી.

2 તેણે તેને ખેડી અને પથ્થર વીણી કાઢયા. અને અતિ ઉત્તમ દ્રાક્ષીના વેલા રોપ્યા, તેણે તેની વચ્ચે ચોકી કરવાની છાપરી બાંધી અને દ્રાક્ષને પીલવા કુંડ ખોદી કાઢયો. એમાં મીઠી દ્રાક્ષ થશે એવી તેને આશા હતી. પણ થઇ ત્યારે તેવી મીઠી દ્રાક્ષ બિલકુલ નહોતી.

3 દેવે કહ્યું કે, “હે યરૂશાલેમ તથા યહૂદાના લોકો તમે આ કિસ્સો સાંભળ્યો છે? તમે ન્યાય કરો!

4 આથી વિશેષ હું શું કરી શક્યો હોત? મારી દ્રાક્ષવાટિકાએ મને મીઠી દ્રાક્ષને બદલે ખાટી દ્રાક્ષ શા માટે આપી?

5 માટે હવે સાંભળો, મારી દ્રાક્ષનીવાડીનું હું શું કરીશ તે તમને કહું છું:હું એના વાડાઓ કાઢી અને તેનો નાશ થવા દઇશ, હું એના વાડાઓ તોડી નાખીશ, તેને પગ નીચે કચડાવી દઇશ.

6 અને હું તેને ઉજ્જડ રહેવા દઇશ, કોઇ એને કાપશે નહિ અને કોઇ એને ખેડશે નહિ, એમાં કાંટા ઝાંખરા ઊગી નીકળશે. હું વાદળોને આજ્ઞા કરીશ કે એમાં કોઇ વરસાદ ન વરસાવો.”

7 ઇસ્રાએલી લોકો તે સૈન્યોના દેવ યહોવાની દ્રાક્ષવાટિકા છે. યહૂદાના માણસો અને છોડવાઓ જેને પ્રેમથી ઉછેર્યા છે.તેણે ન્યાયની આશા રાખી હતી. પણ બદલો મળ્યો અન્યાય નો! તેમણે આશા રાખી હતી સદાચારની પણ, જે બધું તેણે સાંભળ્યું તે મદદ માટેની બૂમો હતી!

8 તમે માલમિલકતમાં ખેતરો અને મકાનો ખરીદીને ભેગાં કર્યા જાઓ છો, એટલી હદ સુધી કે દેશમાં તમે એકલા જ રહી જાઓ છો ને બીજા કોઇ માટે જગા જ રહેતી નથી તેમને અફસોસ.

9 પરંતુ સૈન્યોનો દેવ યહોવાએ વચન આપ્યું છે કે, “તમે અણધારી આપત્તિઓ વેઠશો. મારા પોતાના કાનોથી મેં તેમને આમ બોલતા સાંભળ્યાં છે. ધણાં સુંદર ઘરો ઉજ્જડ પડ્યાં રહેશે, કારણ કે તેના માલિકો કાંતો માર્યા જશે અથવા ઘર છોડીને જતાં રહેશે.

10 દશ એકરની દ્રાક્ષની વાડીઓમાંથી ફકત છ ગેલન દ્રાક્ષરસઊપજશે એક ઓમેરબી વાવ્યાં પછી પણ ફકત એક એફાહ અનાજ ઊપજશે.”

11 જેઓ સવારમાં વહેલા ઊઠીને દ્રાક્ષારસ જ પીયા કરો છો. અને છાકટા થાઓ ત્યાં સુધી સાંજે મોડે સુધી જાગનારાઓ, હવે તમારું આવી બન્યું છે એમ સમજો.

12 તમારી ઉજવણીઓમાં હંમેશા સારંગી અને વીણા, ખંજરી અને વાંસળી, તથા દ્રાક્ષારસના પાન સાથે મોજમજા સંકળાયેલી હોય છે. પણ યહોવા જે કરી રહ્યા છે તેની તેઓને ખબર નથી.

13 “પરિણામે મારા લોકો અજ્ઞાનતાને કારણે દેશનિકાલ થયા છે, અને તેમના પ્રતિષ્ઠિત પુરુષો ભૂખ્યા થયા છે, ને તેમના સામાન્ય લોકો તરસથી મરશે.

14 એથી શેઓલે અત્યંત ક્ષુધાથી પોતાનું મોં પહોળું કર્યુ છે, તેમાં કુલીન લોકો અને સામાન્ય લોકોનાં ખુશીથી કોલાહલ કરતાં ટોળાં હોમાઇ જશે.”

15 સૌને નીચા પાડવામાં આવશે, સૌનું ગુમાન ઉતારવામાં આવશે. સૌને નીચા નમાવવામાં આવશે.

16 પરંતુ સૈન્યોના દેવ યહોવા નિષ્ઠાપૂર્વક ન્યાય કરશે અને આમ કરીને પોતાની મહાનતા પ્રગટ કરશે. પરમ પવિત્ર દેવ ન્યાયી આચરણ કરીને બતાવશે કે તે પવિત્ર છે.

17 હલવાનો જાણે પોતાના બીડમાં ચરતાં હોય તેમ ચરશે, ને ધનાઢયોના પાયમાલ થયેલાં સ્થાનોને પારકાઓ ખાઇ જશે.

18 જેઓ અન્યાયને અને પાપના બંધનને વળગી રહે છે, અને તેને છોડી શકતા નથી, તેઓને અફસોસ!

19 તમે કહો છો કે, “દેવે ઉતાવળ કરવી જોઇએ. તેને તેનું કામ ઝડપથી સ્થપાવા દો, જેથી અમે જોઇ શકીએ છીએ! ભલે ઇસ્રાએલના પવિત્ર દેવ જે કરવા માગે છે તે ઝડપથી કરશે, અમે તે જાણીશું!”

20 જે લોકો પાપને પુણ્ય અને પુણ્યને પાપ કહે છે. અંધકારને પ્રકાશમાં અને પ્રકાશને અંધકારમાં ફેરવી નાખે છે, કડવાનું મીઠું અને મીઠાનું કડવું કરી નાખે છે તેઓને અફસોસ!

21 જે લોકો પોતાની ષ્ટિમાં બુદ્ધિમાન, ને પોતાની નજરમાં ડાહ્યા છે, તેઓને પણ અફસોસ!

22 તે લોકો દ્રાક્ષારસ પીવામાં શૂરા છે અને મધોનું મિશ્રણ કરવામાં બહાદુર છે. તેઓને અફસોસ!

23 તે લોકો લાંચ લઇને ગુનેગારને નિદોર્ષ ઠરાવે છે અને નિદોર્ષને ગુનેગાર ઠરાવે છે.

24 તેથી હવે જેમ વરાળ અને સૂકું ઘાસ અગ્નિમાં બળીને ભસ્મિભૂત થઇ જાય છે, તેમ તમારાં મૂળ સડી જશે અને તમારાં ફૂલ ચીમળાઇને ખરી પડશે.કારણ તમે સૈન્યોનો દેવ યહોવાના ઇસ્રાએલના પરમ પવિત્ર દેવના વચનોનો અનાદર કર્યો છે.

25 માટે યહોવા પોતાના લોકો ઉપર ખૂબ ગુસ્સે થયા છે; અને તેઓને કચડી નાખવા માટે તેમણે પોતાનો હાથ લંબાવ્યો છે. ટેકરીઓ ૂજશે, અને તેના લોકોના મડદાં શેરીઓમાં કચરાની જેમ ફેંકી દેવામાં આવશે. તેમ છતાં તેમનો ક્રોધ શાંત થયો નથી; હજી તેમના લોકો પર તેમનો હાથ ઉગામેલો જ છે.

26 આથી યહોવા દૂરથી લોકોને નિશાની કરે છે, પૃથ્વીને છેડેથી તેમને સૌને બોલાવવા માટે તે સીટી વગાડે છે અને જુઓ, તેઓ વેગથી સત્વરે આવી રહ્યા છે!

27 કોઇને થાક લાગતો નથી, કે કોઇ ઠોકર ખાતો નથી. નથી કોઇ ઝોકાં ખાતો કે નથી કોઇ ઊંઘતો. કોઇ કમરબંધ ઢીલો કરતો નથી કે કોઇ પગરખાંની દોરી છોડતો નથી.

28 તેમનાં બાણ ધારદાર કરેલા છે, અને ધનુષ્યો નમાવીને ખેચેલા છે. તેમના ઘોડાની ખરીઓ વજ્ર જેવી છે, અને તેમના રથના ચક્રો વંટોળિયા જેવા છે.

29 તેમની ગર્જના સિંહની ગર્જના જેવી છે! તેઓ સિંહની જેમ ઘૂરકાટ કરીને તેમનો ભક્ષ્ય પકડે છે. અને તેને ખૂબ દૂર લઇ જાય છે, અને તેને બચાવવા ત્યાં કોઇ નથી.

30 તેઓ તે દિવસે તેમના શિકાર બનેલા ઇસ્રાએલીઓ સામે સાગરના ઘૂઘવાટ જેવી ગર્જના કરશે. અને જો કોઇ ધરતી ઉપર ધારીને જોશે તો તેને અંધકાર અને આફત દેખાશે, પ્રકાશ વાદળાંથી ઘેરાતો દેખાશે.

1 Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?

5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:

6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.

7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!

9 In mine ears said the Lord of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.

10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.

11 Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them!

12 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of his hands.

13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:

16 But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.

18 Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:

19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:

23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

25 Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

26 And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:

27 None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:

28 Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:

29 Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.

30 And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.
