Hebrews 11:31
રાહાબ વેશ્યાએ ઇસ્ત્રાએલી જાસૂસ લોકોને આવકાર્યા અને મિત્રની માફક મદદ કરી. કારણ કે તેને વિશ્વાસ હતો એટલે તે અવજ્ઞા કરનાર લોકો સાથે મરણ પામી નહોતી.

ત્યાર પછી નૂનના પુત્ર યહોશુઆએ શિટ્ટિમમાંથી ઇસ્રાએલી છાવણીમાંથી બે જાસૂસો મોકલ્યા. તેણે તેઓને કહ્યું, “જાઓ તમે જઈને દેશની તથા યરીખોનગરની બાતમી કાઢો.” તેથી તેઓ યરીખો ગયા. યરીખોમાં રાહાબ નામની વારાંગના સ્ત્રી, ધર્મશાળા ચલાવતી હતી, તેઓ તેણીના સ્થાને ગયા અને ત્યાં રાત રોકાવાની યોજના કરતા હતા.

1 Peter 2:8
અવિશ્વાસીઓ માટે, તે છે: “તે એક એવો પથ્થર છે કે જે લોકોને ઠોકર ખવડાવે છે, એ પથ્થર જે લોકોને ઠોકર ખવડાવનાર ખડક થયો છે.” યશાયા 8:14 લોકો ઠોકર ખાય છે કારણ કે તેઓ દેવ જે કહે છે તે વચનોનું પાલન કરતા નથી. તેઓને માટે દેવે આવુજ આયોજન કર્યુ હતું.
1 Peter 3:20
તે એ આત્માઓ હતા કે જેમણે ઘણો વખત પહેલા એટલે કે નૂહના સમયમાં દેવની અવજ્ઞા કરનારા હતા. જ્યારે નૂહ વહાણ બાંધી રહ્યો હતો ત્યારે દેવ ધીરજપૂર્વક રાહ જોઈ રહ્યો હતો. તે વહાણમાં માત્ર થોડાક જ લોકોને બચાવવામાં આવ્યા હતા. તેઓ આઠ જણ હતા. તે લોકો પાણીથી બચાવી લેવાયા.
