ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 112

1 યહોવાની સ્તુતિ થાઓ! જે યહોવાનો ડર રાખે છે અને માન આપે છે તેને ધન્ય છે. અને જેઓ ખુશીથી તેની આજ્ઞાને અનુસરે છે તેઓ આશીર્વાદિત છે.

2 તેઓનાં સંતાન પૃથ્વી પર બળવાન થશે; અને ન્યાયીઓના વંશજો સાચા અર્થમાં આશીર્વાદ પામશે.

3 તેમના ઘરમાં ધનદોલતની વૃદ્ધિ થશે; અને તેમનું ન્યાયીપણુ કદી વિસરાશે નહિ.

4 સારા લોકો માટે અંધકારમાં પ્રકાશ પ્રગટ થાય છે; તેઓને માટે દેવ ભલા, દયાળુ અને કૃપાળુ છે.

5 વ્યકિત માટે દયાળુ અને ઉદાર થવું તે સારું છે, વ્યકિત માટે એ તેના બધાં વ્યવહારમાં ન્યાયી રહેવું તે સારું છે.

6 તે વ્યકિત કદી પડશે નહિ તેથી સારા માણસનું સ્મરણ સર્વકાળ રહેશે.

7 તે ખરાબ સમાચારથી ડરતો નથી; અને શું થશે તેની પણ ચિંતા કરતો નથી તે દેવ પર ભરોસો રાખી દ્રઢ રહે છે.

8 કરણ શાંત અને સ્થિર રહે છે; તેથી તે ડરશે નહિ. શત્રુઓ પર જીત મેળવશે.

9 તેણે ઉદારતાથી નિર્ધનોની મદદ કરી છે, અને તેનું ન્યાયીપણું સર્વકાળ ટકે છે; અને તે મોટું સન્માન પ્રાપ્ત કરશે.

10 જ્યારે દુષ્ટો આ જોશે ત્યારે ગુસ્સે થશે, તેઓ ક્રોધમાં પોતાના દાંત પીસશે; અને દુબળા થઇ જશે એમ દુષ્ટોની યોજનાઓ નિષ્ફળ જશે.

1 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.

8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
