માથ્થી 25

1 “એ દિવસે આકાશનું રાજ્ય દશ કુમારિકાઓ પોતાના વરને મળવા મશાલ લઈને નીકળી હોય તેના જેવું હશે.

2 એમાંથી પાંચ મૂર્ખ હતી. અને પાંચ વિચારશીલ હતી.

3 મૂર્ખ કુમારિકાઓ જ્યારે પોતાની મશાલો લઈને આવી ત્યારે તેમની સાથે વધારાનું તેલ લીધું નહિ.

4 વિચારશીલ કુમારિકાઓ પાસે તેમની મશાલો સાથે બરણીમાં વધારાનું તેલ હતું.

5 વરને આવતાં ઘણી વાર લાગી એટલામાં બધીજ કુમારિકાઓ થાકી ગઈ અને ઊંઘવા લાગી.

6 “મધ્યરાત્રીએ કોઈકે જાહેરાત કરી કે, ‘વરરાજા આવી રહ્યો છે! તો ચાલો આપણે તેને મળવા જઈએ!”

7 “પછી બધી જ કુમારિકાઓ જાગી ગઈ ને પોતાની મશાલો તૈયાર કરી.

8 પણ મૂર્ખ કુમારિકાઓએ વિચારશીલ કુમારિકાઓને કહ્યું: ‘અમને તમારું થોડું તેલ આપો. અમારી મશાલો હોલવાઈ જાય છે.’

9 “સમજુ કુમારિકાઓએ કહ્યું, ‘ના! કદાચ અમારી પાસે જે તેલ છે તે તમને તથા અમને પુરું નહિ પડે માટે તમે તેલ વેચનારા પાસે જાઓ અને પોતપોતાના માટે થોડું ખરીદી લાવો.’

10 “તેથી તે કુમારિકાઓ તેલ ખરીદવા ગઈ. એટલામાં વરરાજા આવી પહોંચ્યો. જે કુમારિકાઓ તૈયાર હતી, તેઓ તેની જોડે લગ્નનાં જમણમાં પહોંચી ગઈ અને પછી બારણાં બંધ કરવામાં આવ્યાં.

11 “પછી પેલી બીજી કુમારિકાઓ આવી અને બહાર ઊભી રહીને કહેવા લાગી, ‘સ્વામી, હે સ્વામી, બારણાં ઉઘાડો અને અમને અંદર આવવા દો.’

12 “પણ વરરાજાએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, ‘હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું, હું તમને જાણતો નથી.’

13 “તેથી હંમેશા તૈયાર રહો, તમને ખબર નથી, માણસનો દીકરો ક્યા દિવસે અને ક્યા સમયે આવશે.

14 “આકાશનું રાજ્ય એવી વ્યક્તિ જેવું છે કે કોઈ વ્યક્તિ બીજા દેશના પ્રવાસે જતી વખતે તેના નોકરોને બોલાવીને કહે છે કે આ મારી સંપત્તિ, હું જાઉ તે દરમ્યાન તમે સાચવજો.

15 તેણે એકને ચાંદીના સિક્કા ભરેલી પાંચ થેલીઓ આપી, બીજાને બે અને ત્રીજા ને એક, તેણે દરેકને તેમની શક્તિ અનુસાર આપી; પ્રવાસ કરવા ચાલી નીકળ્યો.

16 જેને ચાંદીના સિક્કાની પાંચ થેલીઓ આપી હતી તે ત્યાંથી ચાલી નીકળ્યો અને એણે તરત જ તે પૈસાનું બીજે રોકાણ કર્યુ. અને બીજી પાંચ થેલી કમાયો.

17 જેને બે થેલીઓ મળી હતી તેણે પણ બીજે રોકાણ કયું અને બે થેલી કમાઈ લીધી.

18 પણ જે નોકરને એક જ થેલી આપી હતી તે ગયો અને જમીનમાં ખાડો ખોદી પોતાના ધણીના પૈસાની થેલી જમીનમાં દાટી દીઘી.

19 “ઘણા સમય પછી તે ધણી પાછો આવ્યો અને નોકરોને પૂછયું કે તેઓએ તેના પૈસાનું શું કર્યુ.

20 જેને પાંચ થેલી આપવામાં આવી તેણે બીજી વધારાની પાંચ થેલી લાવી તેના ધણીને આપી અને કહ્યું, ‘તેં મારા પર વિશ્વાસ મૂક્યો તેથી તે પાંચ થેલીઓનો બીજી પાંચ થેલીઓ કમાવવા મેં ઉપયોગ કર્યો.’

21 “ધણીએ કહ્યું, ‘તું ખૂબ સારો વિશ્વાસ રાખવા લાયક નોકર છે. તેં થોડા પૈસાનો સારો ઉપયોગ કર્યો છે, તેથી હું તને આના કરતાં પણ વધારે વસ્તુ સાચવવા આપીશ. આવ, અને મારા સુખનો ભાગીદાર બન.’

22 “પછી જેને બે થેલીઓ આપવામાં આવી હતી, તે ધણી પાસે આવ્યો અને નોકરે કહ્યું, ‘ધણી તેં મને બે થેલી ભરેલા પૈસા આપ્યા હતા, મેં આ બંને થેલીના પૈસાનો ઉપયોગ કર્યો છે અને હું બીજી બે થેલીઓ વધારે કમાયો છું.’

23 “ધણીએ કહ્યું, ‘તેં બરાબર કર્યુ છે. તું ખૂબજ સારો નોકર છે અને તું વિશ્વાસ રાખવા લાયક છે. તેં થોડા પૈસાનો ખૂબ સારો ઉપયોગ કર્યો એટલે હું તને આનાં કરતા પણ વધારે અધિકાર આપીશ, આવ અને મારી સાથે સુખમાં ભાગીદાર થા.’

24 “પછી જેને એક થેલી આપવામાં આવી હતી, તે નોકર ધણી પાસે આવ્યો અને ધણીને કહ્યું, “હું જાણું છું કે તું ખૂબજ કડક માણસ છે. તેણે કહ્યું, ‘જ્યાં તેં નથી વાવ્યું ત્યાંથી પાક લણનાર, અને જ્યાં તેં નથી વેર્યુ, ત્યાંથી એકઠું કરનાર છે.

25 તેથી મને ખૂબજ બીક લાગી અને તારી પૈસાની થેલી લઈને હું ગયો અને જમીનમાં સંતાડી દીધી. તેં મને જે ચાંદીના સિક્કાની થેલી આપી હતી, તે પાછી લે.’

26 “ધણીએ કહ્યું, ‘તું દુષ્ટ અને આળસુ નોકર છે! તું કહે છે, ‘જ્યાં મેં નથી વાવ્યું ત્યાંથી હું પાક લણું છું અને જ્યાં નથી વેર્યુ ત્યાંથી એકઠું કરું છું.’

27 તો મારું ધન તેં બેન્કમાં કેમ ન મૂકયું? જો બેન્કમાં પૈસા મૂક્યાં હોત તો મને વ્યાજ સાથે પાછા મળત.’

28 “તેથી ઘણીએ બીજા નોકરોને કહ્યું આની પાસેથી પૈસાની એક થેલી લઈ લો અને જેની પાસે દશ થેલી છે તેને આપી દો.

29 દરેક વ્યક્તિની પોતાની પાસે જે છે તેનો તે યોગ્ય ઉપયોગ કરશે તો તેને વધુ આપવામાં આવશે. અને જેને તેની જરુંરિયાત છે તેનાથી પણ અધિક પ્રાપ્ત કરશે અને જેની પાસે છે, તેનો યોગ્ય ઉપયોગ નહિ કરે તો તેની પાસેથી બધું જ છીનવી લેવામાં આવશે.

30 તેથી ધણીએ કહ્યું, ‘આ નકામા નોકરને બહારના અંધકારમાં ફેંકી દો જ્યાં લોકોરૂદન કરે છે અને દાંત પીસે છે.’

31 “માણસનો દીકરો ફરીથી આવશે. તે ભવ્ય મહિમા સાથે તેના બધાજ દૂતો સાથે આવશે અને તે રાજા તરીકે મહિમાના રાજ્યાસન પર બીરાજશે.

32 વિશ્વના બધાજ લોકો માણસના દીકરાની આગળ ભેગા થશે. માણસનો દીકરો પછી બધાજ લોકોને બે ભાગમાં વહેંચી નાખશે. જેમ ઘેટાંપાળક ઘેંટા બકરાંને જુદા પાડે છે.

33 માણસનો દીકરો ઘેટાંને (સારા લોકો) પોતાની જમણી બાજુ મૂકશે અને બકરાંને (ખરાબ લોકો) ડાબી બાજુ રાખશે.

34 “પછી તે રાજા, જમણી બાજુ બેસનારા સારા માણસોને કહેશે, આવો, મારા બાપના આશીર્વાદિતો આવો, અને જે રાજ્ય જગતનો પાયો નાખતા પહેલા તમારા માટે અગાઉથી જ તૈયાર કરવામાં આવ્યુ છે તે પ્રાપ્ત કરો.

35 તમને આ રાજ્ય મળ્યું છે કારણ હું ભૂખ્યો હતો ત્યારે તમે મને ખાવાનું આપ્યું હતું, તરસ્યો હતો ત્યારે તમે મને કાંઈક પીવા આપ્યું હતું. અને જ્યારે હું એકલો ભટકતો હતો ત્યારે તમે મને ઘેર બોલાવ્યો હતો.

36 હું વસ્ત્ર વગરનો હતો ત્યારે તમે મને કાંઈક પહેરવાં આપ્યું હતું. હું માંદો હતો ત્યારે તમે મારી ચાકરી કરી હતી, હું કારાવાસમાં હતો, ત્યારે તમે મને મળવા આવ્યા હતા.’

37 “પછી સારા માણસો ઉત્તર આપશે, ‘પ્રભુ, અમે ક્યારે તને ભૂખ્યો જોયો અને ભોજન આપ્યું? અમે ક્યારે તને તરસ્યો જોયો અને તને કાંઈક પીવા આપ્યું?

38 અમે તને ક્યારે એકલો જોયો અને ઘરથી દૂર ફરતા જોયો? અને અમે તને અમારે ઘેર ક્યારે બોલાવ્યો? અમે તને વસ્ત્ર વગર ક્યારે જોયો અને તને કોઈક વસ્ત્ર પહેરવા આપ્યું?

39 અમે તને ક્યારે માંદો જોયો? અમે તને ક્યારે કારાવાસમાં જોયો અને તારી મુલાકાત લીધી?”

40 “પછી રાજા ઉત્તર આપશે, ‘હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું. તમે મારા લોકોમાંના એકના માટે અહીં જે બધું કર્યુ તે બધું તમે મારા માટે જ કર્યુ.’

41 “પછી રાજા તેની ડાબી બાજુ બેઠેલા માણસોને કહેશે. મારી પાસેથી જે અગ્નિ સદાને માટે સળગે છે ત્યાં ચાલ્યા જાઓ. તમે શ્રાપિત છો, શેતાન તથા તેના દૂતો માટે જે સર્વકાલિક અગ્નિ તૈયાર કરેલો છે તેમાં પડો અને,

42 આજ તમારી સજા છે. કારણ હું ભૂખ્યો હતો ત્યારે તમે મને કશું જ ખાવાનું આપ્યું નહોતું અને જ્યારે હું તરસ્યો હતો ત્યારે તમે મને કાંઈ પીવા આપ્યું નહોતું.

43 હું જ્યારે ઘરતી દૂર હતો અને ફરતો હતો, ત્યારે તમે મને ઘરમાં બોલાવ્યો નહોતો. વસ્ત્ર વગર નગ્ન હતો, પરંતુ તમે મને વસ્ત્ર પહેરવા આપ્યા નહોતા. હું બિમાર હતો અને કારાવાસ ભોગવતો હતો ત્યારે તમે મારી સેવા કરી નહોતી.’

44 “પછી લોકો પણ ઉત્તરમાં પૂછશે, ‘હે પ્રભુ, અમે તને ભૂખ્યો, તરસ્યો, એકલો, વસ્ત્ર વગર, બિમાર અથવા બંદી ક્યારે જોયો? અને અમે તને મદદ ના કરી?’

45 “પછી રાજા ઉત્તરમાં કહેશે, ‘હું તમને સત્ય કહું છું, કે તમે અહીં મારા લોકોમાંના કોઈને પણ ના પાડી તે મને ના પાડી બરાબર છે.’

46 “પછી તે દુષ્ટ માણસો ત્યાંથી ચાલ્યા જશે અને તેઓને સદાને માટે સજા થશે. અને પછી સારા લોકો અનંતજીવનમાં જતા રહેશે.”

1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
