Judges 11:29
એ વખતે યહોવાના આત્માંએ યફતામાં પ્રવેશ કર્યો, અને ગિલયાદ અને મનાશ્શામાં થઈને ગિલયાદમાં આવેલા મિસ્પાહ ગામે અને ત્યાંથી આમ્મોનીઓના દેશમાં ગયો.

ન્યાયાધીશો 3:10
યહોવાનો આત્માં તેની સાથે હતો, યહોવાએ તેને શક્તિ આપી હતી અને તે ઈસ્રાએલીઓનો ન્યાયાધીશ બન્યો. તેણે ઈસ્રાએલીઓને યુદ્ધમાં દોર્યા અને અરામના રાજા કૂશાનને હરાવવા માંટે યહોવાએ તેની સહાય કરી.

ત્યારબાદ યહોવા વાદળમાંથી ઊતરી આવ્યા અને મૂસા સાથે વાત કરી, પછી તેમણે મૂસાને જે આત્માં આપ્યો હતો તે લઈ અને તે સિત્તેર વડીલોને આપ્યો એટલે તેઓનામાં આત્માંનો સંચાર થયો. એટલે થોડા સમય સુધી પ્રબોધકના જેવા ભાવાવેશમાં પ્રબોધ કર્યો, પણ ત્યાર પછી તેઓએ એમ કર્યુ નહિ.

પછી યહોવાનો આત્માં ગિદિયોનમાં આવ્યો, યુદ્ધમાં જવાનું આહવાન આપવા તેણે રણશિંગડું ફૂંકયું, તેથી અબીએઝેરના પુરુષો તેની પાસે ભેગા થયા.

આમ્મોનીના સૈન્યને સાથે બોલાવવામાં આવ્યું હતું અને તેઓએ ગિલયાદમાં છાવણી નાખી હતી. ઈસ્રાએલનું સૈન્ય પણ સાથે થવા એકઠું થયું અને મિસ્પાહમાં છાવણી નાખી.

જ્યારે તે માંહનેહ દાનના શહેરમાં હતો તે દરમ્યાન યહોવાનો આત્માં તેની ઉપર પ્રેરણા કરવા લાગ્યો. તે શહેર સોરાહ અને એશ્તાઓલ, જે દાનની છાવણીમાં આવેલા છે, તેની વચ્ચે આવેલું છે.

જયારે શાઉલ અને તેનો ચાકર પેલી ટેકરી પર પહોંચ્યા ત્યારે પ્રબોધકોનો સંઘ તેને મળવા સામે આવ્યો અને દેવના આત્માંનો તેનામાં સંચાર થયો; આથી તે પણ પ્રબોધકના જેવા ભાવાવેશમાં આવી ગયો.

શમુએલે તેલનું શીગડું લઈને તેનો તેના ભાઈઓના દેખતાં અભિષેક કર્યો. પછી યહોવાના આત્માંએ દાઉદમાં સંચાર કર્યો અને તે દિવસથી તેના ભેગો રહ્યો. શમુએલ પછી તેની જગ્યાએ પાછો ગયો.

તે જ વખતે દેવના આત્માએ’ત્રીસ વીરો’ ના નાયક અમાસાયમાં પ્રવેશ કર્યો અને તે બોલી ઊઠયો:“હે દાઉદ, અમે તમારા પક્ષે છીએ, હે યશાઇ પુત્ર, અમે તારી સાથે છીએ, તારો જય હો! તારા સાથીઓનો જય હો! દેવ તારી સહાયમાં છે!”દાઉદે તેમને આવકાર આપ્યો અને તેમને પોતાની ટૂકડીઓના નાયક બનાવ્યા.
