નફતાલી કુળસમૂહના લોકોએ બેથશેમેશ અને બેથઅનાથના વતનીઓને હાંકી કાઢયા નહિ, પણ તેઓ તે શહેરોના કનાની વતનીઓ ભેગા જ રહેવા લાગ્યા. આ કનાનીઓએ તેમના માંટે ગુલામો તરીકે કામ કર્યુ.
