યહોવા દેવે આ બાગમાં દરેક જાતનાં વૃક્ષો ઉગાડયાં, જે દેખાવમાં સુંદર હોય અને જેનાં ફળ ખાવામાં સારાં હોય. બાગમાં વચ્ચે જીવનનું વૃક્ષ અને સારાભૂંડાની સમજનું વૃક્ષ પણ ઉગાડયું.

યહોવા દેવે કહ્યું, “જુઓ, હવે માંણસ આપણામાંના એકના જેવો થઈ ગયો છે; મનુષ્યને સારાનરસાની સમજ આવી છે. અને હવે પુરુષ જીવનના વૃક્ષનાં ફળ પણ લઈ શકે, છે. જો પુરુષ તે ફળને ખાશે તો તે સદા અમર થઈ જશે.”

હઝકિયેલ 31:8
દેવના ઉદ્યાનનું કોઇ પણ દેવદાર વૃક્ષ તેની બરાબરી કરી શકતું નહોતું, કોઇ પણ સરુના કે ચિનારના વૃક્ષને એના જેવી શાખા નહોતી, મેદાનના કોઇ પણ વૃક્ષોને તેની સુંદરતા સાથે સરખાવી ન શકાય. દેવના ઉદ્યાનનું કોઇ પણ વૃક્ષ તેની બરોબરી ન કરી શકે.
