Galatians 1:23
તેઓએ માત્ર મારા વિષે આ સાંભળ્યું હતું કે: “આ માણસ આપણને ખૂબ સતાવતો હતો. પરંતુ હવે તે લોકોને તે જ વિશ્વાસ વિષે વાત કહે છે કે જેનો એક વખત નાશ કરવાનો તેણે પ્રયત્ન કરેલો.”

દેવની વાતોને વધારે ને વધારે લોકો સુધી પ્રચાર થતો ગયો. યરૂશાલેમમાં શિષ્યાની સંખ્યા મોટી થતી ગઇ. યહૂદિ યાજકોના મોટા સમૂહો પણ વિશ્વાસને આધીન થયા.

પછી શાઉલ યરૂશાલેમમાં ગયો. તેણે શિષ્યોના સમૂહમાં જોડાઇ જવાનો પ્રયત્ન કર્યો. પણ તેઓ બધા તેનાથી ડરતા હતા. શાઉલ ખરેખર ઈસુનો શિષ્યો છે તે તેઓ માનતા ન હતા.

ભૂતકાળમાં તો હુ ખ્રિસ્તની વિરૂદ્ધમાં બોલતો હતો, અને બધા પર જુલમ ગુજારતો હતો મે તેને આઘાત આપે તેવા ઘણાં કામો કર્યા. પરંતુ દેવે મને ક્ષમા આપી, કેમ કે હુ શું કરતો હતો તેનું મને ભાન નહોતું. જ્યાં સુધી હુ વિશ્વાસુ ન થયો, ત્યાં સુધી એવું કર્યા કર્યુ.
