તેણે રાણી એસ્તેરને જણાવ્યું, “પાટનગર સૂસામાં યહૂદીઓએ પાંચસો માણસો અને હામાનના દશ પુત્રોને મારી નાખ્યા છે, તો પછી તેમણે રાજ્યના બીજા પ્રાંતોમાં તું મારા દ્વારા શું કરાવા માંગે છે! જે માગે તે આપુ, તારે બીજું શું જોઇએ છે? માંગ અને તે મંજૂર થશે.”

તે સમયે તેણે તેમની સમક્ષ એક સો એંશી દિવસ સુધી પોતાના રાજ્યની વિપુલ સંપત્તિનું અને પોતાના રાજવૈભવનું પ્રદર્શન કર્યુ.

એક દિવસ યાકૂબે લાબાનના પુત્રોને વાતો કરતાં સાંભળ્યા, તેઓએ કહ્યું કે, “યાકૂબે અમાંરા પિતાજીનું સર્વસ્વ લઈ લીધું છે. તે ધનવાન બની ગયો છે અને તેણે અમાંરા પિતાની બધી મિલકત લઇ લીધી છે.
