અને તેનો ઉપયોગ તમાંરે ઘેર તમાંરા કુટુંબના ખોરાક તરીકે કરવો. શુદ્વ કે અશુદ્વ ગમે તે સ્થિતિમાં હોય તો તમે, હરણ કે કાળિયારની જેમ એ પ્રાણીઓને ખાઈ શકો છો.

| it within thy gates: | תֹּֽאכְלֶ֑נּוּ | tōʾkĕlennû | toh-heh-LEH-noo |
| unclean the | הַטָּמֵ֤א | haṭṭāmēʾ | ha-ta-MAY |
| and the clean | וְהַטָּהוֹר֙ | wĕhaṭṭāhôr | veh-ha-ta-HORE |
| alike, it eat shall person | יַחְדָּ֔ו | yaḥdāw | yahk-DAHV |
| as the roebuck, | כַּצְּבִ֖י | kaṣṣĕbî | ka-tseh-VEE |
| and as the hart. | וְכָֽאַיָּֽל׃ | wĕkāʾayyāl | veh-HA-ah-YAHL |
