પછી રિબકાએ ઇસહાકને કહ્યું, “તારા પુત્ર એસાવે હિત્તી કન્યાઓ સાથે વિવાહ કરી લીધા છે. હું એ સ્ત્રીઓથી કંટાળી ગઈ છું. કારણ કે તેઓ આપણા લોકોમાંની નથી. અને જો યાકૂબ પણ આ કન્યાઓમાંથી કોઈ એકની સાથે વિવાહ કરશે તો પછી માંરે તો મરવા સિવાય કોઈ રસ્તો નહિ રહે.”
