Genesis 19:34
બીજે દિવસે મોટી પુત્રીએ નાનીને કહ્યું, “જો ગઈકાલે રાત્રે હું પિતા સાથે સૂઈ ગઈ હતી. આજે પણ આપણે તેને દ્રાક્ષારસ પાઈએ, પછી તું જઈને તેમની સાથે સૂઈ જજે. આ રીતે આપણે આપણા પિતાથી આપણો વંશવેલો જાળવી શકીએ.”

| said | הַבְּכִירָה֙ | habbĕkîrāh | ha-beh-hee-RA |
| unto | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| the younger, | הַצְּעִירָ֔ה | haṣṣĕʿîrâ | ha-tseh-ee-RA |
| Behold, | הֵן | hēn | hane |
| I lay | שָׁכַ֥בְתִּי | šākabtî | sha-HAHV-tee |
| yesternight | אֶ֖מֶשׁ | ʾemeš | EH-mesh |
| with | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| my father: | אָבִ֑י | ʾābî | ah-VEE |
| drink him make us let | נַשְׁקֶ֨נּוּ | našqennû | nahsh-KEH-noo |
| wine | יַ֜יִן | yayin | YA-yeen |
| this night | גַּם | gam | ɡahm |
| also; | הַלַּ֗יְלָה | hallaylâ | ha-LA-la |
| and go thou in, | וּבֹ֙אִי֙ | ûbōʾiy | oo-VOH-EE |
| lie and | שִׁכְבִ֣י | šikbî | sheek-VEE |
| with | עִמּ֔וֹ | ʿimmô | EE-moh |
| preserve may we that him, | וּנְחַיֶּ֥ה | ûnĕḥayye | oo-neh-ha-YEH |
| seed | מֵֽאָבִ֖ינוּ | mēʾābînû | may-ah-VEE-noo |
| of our father. | זָֽרַע׃ | zāraʿ | ZA-ra |
