Genesis 17:20
“તેં મને ઇશ્માંએલની બાબતમાં પૂછયું, અને મેં તારી વાત સાંભળી. હું તેને આશીર્વાદ આપીશ, તેને ઘણાં સંતાનો થશે. તે મોટા બાર સરદારોનો પિતા થશે. અને હું તેનાથી એક મોટી પ્રજાનું નિર્માંણ કરીશ.

| Behold, | הִנֵּ֣ה׀ | hinnē | hee-NAY |
| blessed have I | בֵּרַ֣כְתִּי | bēraktî | bay-RAHK-tee |
| him, and will make him fruitful, | אֹת֗וֹ | ʾōtô | oh-TOH |
| multiply will and | וְהִפְרֵיתִ֥י | wĕhiprêtî | veh-heef-ray-TEE |
| him exceedingly; | אֹת֛וֹ | ʾōtô | oh-TOH |
| וְהִרְבֵּיתִ֥י | wĕhirbêtî | veh-heer-bay-TEE | |
| twelve | אֹת֖וֹ | ʾōtô | oh-TOH |
| בִּמְאֹ֣ד | bimʾōd | beem-ODE | |
| princes | מְאֹ֑ד | mĕʾōd | meh-ODE |
| beget, he shall | שְׁנֵים | šĕnêm | sheh-NAME |
| and I will make him | עָשָׂ֤ר | ʿāśār | ah-SAHR |
| a great | נְשִׂיאִם֙ | nĕśîʾim | neh-see-EEM |
| nation. | יוֹלִ֔יד | yôlîd | yoh-LEED |
